The hosts provided information and offered help. The location was pretty and relaxing. At low tide its a short walk to the village and dive centre. It's a cabin so be realistic about the size. Early morning it's cold, but the shower is hot and the bed very warm. I'd return to stay there without hesitation

Private on the countryside. Peaches for breakfast from the garden. Very nice new bbq… and last but not least.. the owners were real nice and helpful w good suggestions on real nice hiking trails. Check out the smugglers bay loop track!

The beautiful quiet rural location yet only 10min to middle of town. Fully functioning kitchenette with quality crockery and cutlery. Provided with half a dozen fresh eggs from the property, large deck with table and chairs to eat outside and large umbrella. Waking up to the lovely birdsong. Very accommodating friendly hosts whose house was unseen from the lodge, so very private with a bush and tidal river view from deck. We will return when we have 5 days in Whangarei in March next year. Bedding, pillows and cushions very comfortable and abundant. Herbs available in pot and newly planted gardens, with a parking area right behind the lodge. We were their first guests, and definately recommend their property as a great addition to the Booking.com site.
