I recently stayed at Aldilà Art Rooms in Šmartno and it was an unforgettable experience. The room was beautifully decorated, blending modern comforts with the charm of the historic setting. The atmosphere of the medieval village, combined with the stunning views of the Brda vineyards, made for a truly unique and peaceful retreat. The staff was incredibly welcoming. The facilities are located in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. A peaceful monastery is clung on top of a high hill in Slovenia, right across the border with Italy. From there you can admire on one side the cities and hundreds of km of coast, ending with the sea. On the other side the alps sit austere and majestic . Center Mir is perfectly clean, mint, staff was always communicating with clarity and speed. This has become my favourite place if I'll ever have to stop over night on that route.

Beautiful view from a very nice location. Not even the bad weather could ruin the atmosphere. We picked it up at the very last minute so we didn’t have any expectations but hoping it would deliver the basics, in terms of cleanliness and decent room. We found out the restaurant had good reviews, had dinner and again it exceeded the expectations. I had the 3 course meal including a home made tagliatelle with chanterelles (very good), fish fillet with veggies (good), and an orange infused tiramisu - first time I try a tiramisu out of the classic one or the one with berries and it was excellent. On top of it I loved the amouse bouche and the home made raffaellos. I would recommend this place with no doubts.

Absolutely perfect, the family are so helpful. We were travelling on bikes, they gave us perfect recommendations for the next day. Helped us with dinner, breakfast was delicious. The room was new, and the wine delicious. We managed to fit a bottle on our bike which we enjoyed a couple of days later. Yes, we will be back, is a great place for a base for biking.

Apartment was located in 3 apartment building for guests - during our stay we were the only ones, therefore nobody bother us or did we. The pool was great refreshment! Otherwise - quite remote area. The apartment had a conditioner in the main room. Bathroom is located next to sleeping room (so, no privacy for adults, if kids are walking through the room for bathroom :) ). The bathroom was quite warm place due to the water-boiler which heated up the room a lot, meanwhile the water stream was uneven from hot to cold, but it wasn`t too critical - maybe some upgrade for boiler would be needed. Kitchen rather small and basic - if hosts would place there some salt & sugar, it would be great :)

We had a great stay at Hiša Vuga! The place is super clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Barbara was a wonderful host, friendly, helpful, and full of great tips for exploring the area. Thanks to her, we got to visit some beautiful and historic spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. Highly recommended!
