QUIET. Comfortable bed. Hot water. Spacious room. Refrigerator and kettle. Water provided each day. Beach side was quiet although located on main street. No loud music at all. 100m to Samui Central. Scooter hire and delivery. Excellent reception staff. Stayed 1 month. The perfect budget base.

I extended my stay in Koh Samui, my option that I choose is Jade Cottage. It was the best decision I made. One of the best places that I saw on my Thailand trip, you will be welcomed by the sweet lady ( Mia ). She is an employee in the cottage and helped to set up the room before my arrival. Then I met ( Alian ) the owner of the Jade Cottages. He is so energetic and has this vibes that he is an old friend. Let’s talk about the place, you will feel like you are entering a jungle, a small swimming pool with sunbeds, the place is so peaceful and what I love is a small place with around 5 or 6 cottages, so if you are looking for a peaceful location this is the one. There is a cafe ( Tima’s Cafe ) owned by Alian’s son. The location is so close to all the attractions you need, like fishman villagers markets, not to mention the Samui Airport about 7 km away. Definitely my next visit to Koh Samui will be in The Jade Cottage.

Lovely staff, super friendly & helpful! Loved our stay here, so close to the beach. Cheap prices on drinks in reception. Lovely big comfy bed and a very friendly cat that greets you every time you walk past. Shower was nice and warm and great pressure too. They even allowed us to hire a motorbike too.

I started my one-year journey in Thailand, and at the very beginning of it, I stayed at Star Samui Guesthouse on Koh Samui Island. The owner, Neno, was one of the kindest people I met at the start of my trip — truly an amazing person who helped me a lot and made me feel at home. I was so happy with my stay that I decided to end my journey in the same place where it began. I came back to Star Samui Guesthouse, and once again, everything was perfect.
