Baan Jaru is the ideal combination of everything needed for a hotel. It is convenient and close to downtown and the markets, and it is quiet enough as the rooms have double pane glass and are in the back of the property. One of the biggest pluses is that they offer a FREE breakfast which is delicious and substantial. I don't know of any other property on Booking.com that gives a free breakfast. But the biggest reason to stay at Baan Jaru is it is a family-run business and the son, Toddy, studied in the UK for many years so he speaks fluent English, is very knowledgeable about the local areas and tourist spots in Chiang Rai, and knows what true guest services should be like. He is the main reason that they are so successful. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't change their room prices in the off or on-season because they have a high-quality product/service. I very highly recommend staying at the Baan Jaru if you visit Chiang Rai. I was 110% satisfied with my stay at Baan Jaru!

Everything was perfect!! Big and clean room, super comfortable bed, breakfast very good. The House is 15 minutes walking from the “city center” but it is super easy to reach + you can take a bike and go around. Special thanks to all the people I met: extremely kind!!!!

In all my travelling in so many countries and locations I have never felt so welcomed as I was here. Such lovely people, so friendly and helpful kind and caring, nothing was a problem and all of this was mainly down to Koyy a family member who is a credit to the family. We had a family bungalow, and despite being a bit rustic, we had everything we needed in our room. Except maybe a little fridge to store our baby’s food and yogurts, but the owners were so nice they let us used their when needed. Their food is simply amazing (and not expensive at all!) and the swimming pool was perfect. We will surely come back here next time in Chiang Rai!

We loved everything about this place! The peacefulness- the farming villages all around the place- the facility- but most of all, the owner! She was such a sweet lady and so helpful! She served us with her whole heart! Made us breakfast in the morning and helped us with what to do that was local. Nearby is an awesome little crepe place that we biked to, there is also a long neck tribe nearby you can bike to, there’s a tea plantation and a local waterfall! Lots to do nearby and no traffic!!! Also the perfect place to watch the sunset! Our favourite stay of our whole holiday!
