Baan Jaru is the ideal combination of everything needed for a hotel. It is convenient and close to downtown and the markets, and it is quiet enough as the rooms have double pane glass and are in the back of the property. One of the biggest pluses is that they offer a FREE breakfast which is delicious and substantial. I don't know of any other property on Booking.com that gives a free breakfast. But the biggest reason to stay at Baan Jaru is it is a family-run business and the son, Toddy, studied in the UK for many years so he speaks fluent English, is very knowledgeable about the local areas and tourist spots in Chiang Rai, and knows what true guest services should be like. He is the main reason that they are so successful. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't change their room prices in the off or on-season because they have a high-quality product/service. I very highly recommend staying at the Baan Jaru if you visit Chiang Rai. I was 110% satisfied with my stay at Baan Jaru!

A cozy and quiet hotel, perfect for a restful night after exploring Chiang Rai. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with good air conditioning and a hot shower. The location is peaceful, with a manageable walk to the center. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.

The room (including the bed)was confortable and big and very clean good wi fi it was very nice the service was very kind too and things to cook and a nice balcony the only thing to make it even better would be a small biscuit to take with coffee but it was already nice to have free coffee and water.

We had a family bungalow, and despite being a bit rustic, we had everything we needed in our room. Except maybe a little fridge to store our baby’s food and yogurts, but the owners were so nice they let us used their when needed. Their food is simply amazing (and not expensive at all!) and the swimming pool was perfect. We will surely come back here next time in Chiang Rai!

Location is about 15 minutes walking distance from Terminal 1 Bus Station, situated inside an alley but pretty close to everything. Recommended to rent a motorbike with them, it will be easier to go to all Chiang Rai's attractions if you are a solo traveller. The hostess Madam Nee and Grandma is very helpful and friendly. The room that I stayed was with a sink basin and private bathroom/shower. Clean towel is provided everyday. King size bed is comfy and room is equipped with a refrigerator, TV and wardrobe.
