Isabel and Pierre were such wonderful, caring hosts. The sundeck views were spectacular, and it was a very central location. Comfortable bed, nice shower, and a TV with Netflix. Tasty breakfast too! Highly recommend this accommodation.

Although we just had a brief stop in this beautiful quaint house, it was perfect for our stay. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful and provided a really beautiful breakfast in the morning.

The host was very welcoming and gave us many tips for our journey. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, beautifully decorated to highlight the history of the home. Coffee and tea were available. We did not stay long in Swellendam, but were charmed by the picturesque buildings in the village.

The place felt safe and welcoming. The hot breakfast was excellent and made according to order. The garden is well maintained. It is just outside the town and next to a good italian tavern.

We only stayed here for one night and the accommodation was great, cozy and comfortable. We had a quick swim in the pool, and after that we headed to a restaurant for dinner, for which Walter helped us make a reservation as it was a busy Saturday evening. We appreciated Walter's recommendations for our drive back to Cape Town, as we ended up seeing beautiful scenery thanks to that! :)

We enjoyed our short stay at Birdsong cottage. Its well located within a few minutes walk of several restaurants as well as the older, historical part of Swellendam. The cottage is situated within a beautiful garden. under trees and was cool in the summer heat. It also has a fire place for winter evenings. We noted that the cottage was tastefully styled and the pictures were an accurate reflection of how it looks. The king sized bed was very comfortable and had quality bed linen. Colin was a great host, friendly and informative. We would stay there again.
