The welcome on our arrival immediately made us feel very welcome. Introducing the facilities was done in a very relaxed way and provided everything required and above. Provision of ample firewood allowed us to spend fabulous time in front of the fire.Johan and Antone’s sharing of info and interest in what we had to ask/say made them feel like dear friends. The facilities are immaculate and the detail and content of the breakfast, far beyond expectations….thank you so much!!! Very good value for money.

We absolutely loved staying at Riverbed Guesthouse! The room + bath are spacious, super clean, stylish and comfy. We really appreciated the little details e.g. the coffee machine incl. milk frother. The garden is awesome with a nice pool, a little stream in the back and a beautiful view on the mountains. Further, the owners were super friendly - we immediately felt welcome and at home. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful house and immaculate gardens in a fantastic location. The owner was wonderful and welcoming.

This was the most beautiful Guest House we have ever stayed in. The property is tranquil and secluded, with a private hot tub and a small but luxurious pool area and gorgeous manicured gardens. The added bonus was seeing the zebra and Springbok at the bottom of the gardens. The rooms were presented like a 5 star hotel, with little touches of fresh flowers on all of the linen. we would go out of our way to stay again .

Highly recommended to stay at Bloomestate. We have been welcomed so nicely and everything was perfect during our stay. Bloomestate is family-owned and you can really feel how much attention is being paid to make your stay unforgettable. Breakfast was lovely and the recommendations to have dinner close by were amazing. We also loved the pool to spend some hours to relax!

We enjoyed our short stay at Birdsong cottage. Its well located within a few minutes walk of several restaurants as well as the older, historical part of Swellendam. The cottage is situated within a beautiful garden. under trees and was cool in the summer heat. It also has a fire place for winter evenings. We noted that the cottage was tastefully styled and the pictures were an accurate reflection of how it looks. The king sized bed was very comfortable and had quality bed linen. Colin was a great host, friendly and informative. We would stay there again.
