The house, reconstituted to resemble a 400-year-old home, offers a truly unique and authentic experience. It was charming, clean, and comfortable. The host was incredibly welcoming and always available to assist. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind stay in Kruja! It wasn’t really a problem for us, but I want future guests to be aware that since you're staying inside the castle, the streets are uneven and not ideal for rolling luggage. If possible, leave larger bags in your car and bring only a backpack. Parking is outside the castle, so it’s about a 5-minute walk from the parking area to the house. It’s good to know this in advance so you won’t be surprised or disappointed, but honestly, it’s totally worth it given the amazing experience overall!

From the moment we arrived, they were warm and eager to help us with everything. The room was clean and exactly as shown in the photos. We shared a beer with them in the evening, and they also offered us a generous plate of fruit. A great and affordable apartment in Durrës — highly recommended!

The owner is very nice person offering help us for everything. We were alone in the house for the price of one room because the owner hasnt finished one bathroom, and would not accept other guests. Its rare to find these kind of people adhering to such high moral principles. When buying at the nearest market we were given 1 eu gift because we were staying at villa Taga. Kruja in general is a very hospitable but sincere hospitality and not business oriented! We will come In Kruja everytime we have something to do in Tirana, it's just 30-40 min away.

At the inn, rooms come with a wardrobe. The rooms at Villa Duka have air conditioning and a desk. This lovely home stay property was one of the best quest houses I've ever stayed. Papa (man of the house) and Mama (his wife) were very sweet, nice, friendly and welcoming couple. Papa showed us to our room, brought us two bottles of water and shots of local Rakia. :) The room was very spacious and spottles clean with a huge terrace overlooking an amazing view across Kruje, with a view of the castle as well. The bed was comfortable and we had a very good night sleep. The bathroom was huge and clean with the toiletries also available. It wasn't en-suite, but shared one on the floor. This wasn't a problem as we were the only guests there at that time. The Mama host was so welcoming and prepared a local Albanian breakfast. Huge selection we were offered would simply serve the whole family, not just the two of us. Homemade cake, bread, jams, a massive plate of vegetables, scrambled eggs - all came from their own garden. Location is just on top of the hill where the hiking route that takes 1 hour on top of the mountain, starts. In overall, it was an amazing experience and we loved it there. We actually called them if they had a room available the following evening (which they had), but at the end we decided to move closer to the airport.
