We have been travelling for two weeks and this was by far the best stay we've had (ranked by myself, my teenager, and my six year old. The views from the room were spectacular. It was a nice touch to have a small table and chairs by the window so we could enjoy coffee in the morning with the amazing views. The beds were so comfortable. The decor was perfect. The accommodations were a few kilometers from the Cliffs of Moher and within easy walking distance to the caves. The host also provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. This was really the highlight of our trip! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Each morning a traditional cooked and continental breakfast is served in the dining room, which has ocean views. The centre of Doolin is 10 minutes’ walk away and has several restaurants serving freshly caught fish.

Doolin Pier is 5 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse and has regular ferries to the Aran Islands. Stunning countryside surrounds the Atlantic View, including the famous Burren area. Everything was excellent, very nice hosts, breathtaking position and view from the room, service and breakfast. We highly recommend and would definitely go back there.

We walked for dinner the 2 nights we stayed, excellent restaurants right there, don't miss the fish n chips, Buffalo chicken wings and trad music at McDermotts! The ladies at Mountain Aven are so nice. The breakfast is *Not* to be missed, they have everything and refills of big mugs of delicious coffee, not that instant stuff.

At the guest house, all units are fitted with a outdoor furniture. Units include a private bathroom with a hair dryer, while selected rooms also boast a terrace and others also feature river views. At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The place was very clean and comfortable. My room was cosy, plenty of space, very comfortable bed and a nice clean bathroom . The view was great, I could see the Cliffs and when lying in bed the window above was nice to look into the sky and even to hear the rain. The common room downstairs was also very comfortable. There was all sorts of different tea and coffee and also cornflakes which I didn't expect to be there. A nice table to have your breakfast and a chat with the other guests who stayed there. And 2 nice comfy chairs to relax and have a coffee after a nice walk. When I went downstairs on Sunday there were freshly baked scones on the counter what a nice surprise, they were yummy and put a smile on my face. There are also tables outside on the terrace to enjoy a nice lunch or just relax on a beautiful sunny day. I have to say I liked everything in Lane Lodge and Teresa the host is very welcoming and friendly and likes to have a chat and will answer all the questions you have about Doolin and the area. And I met the 2 little dogs who live there and they were super nice. Also the location is perfect, close to the pier, you can walk to the Cliffs from here and pubs and restaurants are near by for a nice meal and drink if you fancy one. I left very happy and relaxed, and will come back for sure.

The Old Cottage, a property with a garden, is situated in Doolin, 12 km from Cliffs of Moher, less than 1 km from Doolin Cave, as well as 22 km from Aillwee Cave. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. When staying at The Old Cottage, guests can use private entrance. Perfect little cottage. Beautiful in every way. I wish we had more time. We didn’t want to leave. Elaine is a fantastic host and we were made feel welcome from the first moment we stepped foot in the door. We will be back!
