You definitely need a car to get here, and it's about an 1hr drive to either ski resort. However, despite the distance, the place was really warm and clean, and the hosts made us feel at home. Every day they provided a variety of breakfast and coffee, cleared snow off our car, checked in on us to see if we made it to the nearby onsen for our evening baths, and even had laundry. There are mini heaters in the room that are powerful enough to keep the room warm, and the blankets provided are so comfy! The hosts themselves are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!
