The dorm beds were actual mattresses, so they were very comfortable, and the bunks came with many sockets and accessories (fan, light, clothes line, tissues). It’s a refurbished house, so it felt very cozy. It was comfortable and I enjoyed talking to other guests and the owner. It was a superb stay, one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed at! Set in Ino, 28 km from Odo Dam Museum, そらやまゲストハウス Sorayama guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This 2-star hotel offers a shared kitchen, room service and free WiFi. The hotel provides a hot tub and luggage storage space. We were anxious about the accommodation being close to the road, but it was not an issue at all. Our bedroom balcony extended over the picturesque riverbed. The guest house has recently been renovated in a tasteful, thoughtful manner. We have stayed at accommodations of all budgets, from private multi level ocean front houses to places like this with shared bathrooms. We loved our stay here, there were ample bathrooms, they were modern and immaculately clean, we enjoyed meeting other guests and finding out tips on where to go. The hosts David and Yoshiko are amazing. The Family Mart next door was handy for snacks. Our two teens enjoyed as much as we did the Ramen restaurant and Izakaya close by. Two nights here was not enough for our family of four ( two teens, mom and dag )

Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered on-site. The area is popular for cycling and hiking, and bike hire is available at Guesthouse boro-ya. Outdoor play equipment is also available for guests at the accommodation. The guesthouse is located a few hundred meters above the valley floor with a great view of the surrounding mountains and the river in the valley. It’s nice and quiet with only sounds of nature audible. The bathing facilities are in a separate small building, which makes the place quite unique. The hosts made a very flexible check in possible and prepared some refreshments.

My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The property is non-smoking and is located 18 km from Kōchi Station. The hostess is a lovely, kind lady who looked after us very well. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The hostess kindly organized transportation of my partner's heavy backpack to the next accommodation so she could walk more easily on that leg of our pilgrimage. It was my second stay and I look forward to returning one day.

All units have bed linen. Maki was so friendly, welcoming and helpful! She recommended local restaurants for dinner, and invited me to join the tacoyaki party they were having that evening. The 8 bed dorm was lovely- gorgeous wood beds and cool decor. The beds were comfy and private. I was lucky since there were only 4 of us in the room, but I think it would be spacious enough even if it were full. Definitely the nicest guesthouse I’ve stayed at in Japan.

To stay with the young couple host was great, picked us up from the train station and dropped us off at the bus station each day to do our excursions. Surrounded by farm land & greenery! Are dinner together and chatted in the evenings. Noah the dog is very cute too 😁

The guest house features family rooms. we had. a great room , and food , the managervwas very nice and helped us for anything we needed, it is highly recommended
