Fascinating to hear first hand of farming in Namibia. As we arrived at 7 pm, David rang a great restaurant for us for a tasty supper and walked us there ( round the corner), himself. Annicka is very artistic and has lavished their B&aB with love.

The owner is a delight that is thoughtful and goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel comfortable. The property and rooms are very well maintained. Stiltz Guest House offers bungalow accommodation built on wooden stilts situated in Swakopmund at the mouth of the Swakop River. The units offer views either of the Atlantic Ocean, the riverbed, sand dunes or of the lagoon. The property was within sight distance of the water, you could hear the surf. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options. The omelets were delicious! It was also in easy walking distance of several great restaurants, the jetty, and the downtown.

Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from an outdoor dining area or keep themselves warm by the fireplace on colder days. The property offers garden views. Absolutely beautiful location. Leland #4 is a condo in a small neighborhood that is mostly residential and vacation rentals. It was very quiet the four days I was there. The unit is right on the beach with an uninterrupted view of the coast line. Even on cool, cloudy days, it was easy to enjoy the ocean view from the deck or even inside the unit. This unit was exceptionally well equipped. There were all kinds of kitchen appliances (even a toasty maker), a washer and dryer and very comfortable seating. The owner has somehow managed to provide everything needed without making the place crowded or busy looking. There were ample quantities of dishes, glassware and pans. Being off-season, there was only one restaurant and it was closed Monday and Tuesday. Shopping is either in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay so plan ahead for groceries if you want to take advantage of the kitchen. I was there by myself but I could easily imagine being very comfortable with more people during a stay. The host was very helpful and responsive. It’s an all-around great place to stay.
