We ate breakfast at La Sirenita up top on their covered deck and was delicious. Loved our casita, super comfortable and we slept better than ever. Can't wait to go back. I even had to take an online/interactive 3 hour class for continuing education, and the wifi was excellent the entire time. Sat on my deck overlooking Lake Nicaragua and had a fabulous Zoom class.

The location of the place is beautiful, the attention of the owner and Miguel was perfect, they were always attentive to my doubts, the place is super clean, the beds are very comfortable, if you want to spend time with family or just surrounded by nature this place is perfect.

The guest house features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. The place has a nice garden full of tropical plants, and an open roofed space with chairs, tables and hammocks. The breakfast was the usual Nicaraguan gallo pinto (rice with black frijoles) with eggs and fried plantains. Tasty. I made my own coffee in the guest kitchen. There are some nice walks from the place to a natural pool, the nearby (1.5 km) Finca Magdalena, and along the lakeshore past Balgue.

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Great value for that price. Place run by fantastic family. Everyone I met there was really nice and helpful. Home cooced breakfast was delicious. Localization is good, close to everything you might need. The room was neat clean and had a fan for warmer days and nights.

Danilo was helpful in every aspect. Whether it was getting a great deal for a scooter, or recommendations on where to eat or what activities were available, he was on top of it all. Furniture is all handmade by local craftsmen, for example. I spent way too much time in one rocking chair that I wanted to take home with me. Estelle the owner and her family give it a very homey touch. Filtered water is free! Highly recommend it.

I had an amazing experience in Nena’s Guesthouse! The service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. I want to especially recommend Nena’s motorbike rental service – it was convenient, reliable, and made exploring the area so much easier. Narcy was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay, I enjoyed very much. She answered all of my questions with patience and a smile, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean, with everything I needed to feel at home. Everybody was friendly! A special thank you to Narcy, who went above and beyond by taking me around the island and making sure I had one of the best days of my entire trip. Her kindness and care truly made a difference — I’ll definitely be coming back!
