It was the best decision to stay at Harmony apartments during our visit to Seychelles and we'd definitely love to come back here again. The hosts Karen and his father Niko contributed a large part to making our trip perfect. The location of the apartment is the best you can get on the island: it's literally 1 minute from the beach, however not noisy and nicely hidden from the street. We had a wonderful oceanview from our balcony (I believe you have an oceanview from all first floor apartments, probably not from the ground floor) and guests can also use the top floor rooftop terrace whenever they want, which was like having our private rooftop bar overlooking the ocean and sunset. Karen helped us even by giving excellent travel tips throughout our stay, we followed her guidance as to which trips are best and where to book what, and we definitely got the best services that we could think of. They even took us by car to the Anse Major hiking trail, from where we could return back home by taxi boat - don't miss this one when you are there. The Beau Vallon beach was perfect for bathing and there is also a nice walking street where you can just go for a walk whenever you want - we did a sunset walk on the beach from the apartment towards the other end of the beach (it's so long we never made it to the other end actually) and walked back home on this little walking path where you have a few bars, souvenir shops, local food stalls as well. The location is also great for excursions and it's up to you whether you take the local bus (the bus stop is right in front of the apartment), rent a car, go by water taxi or join a guided tour. We definitely suggest everyone to stay at this apartment! Excellent service, a home away from home and feeling like visiting old friends who welcome you with the biggest hospitality.

À la carte and continental breakfast options with warm dishes, local specialities and pancakes are available. At the guest house, the traditional restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and serves African cuisine. Very nice host, gave wonderful recommendations about things to do. Thanks a lot! :)

Chalets Des Vacances, a property with a garden, is set in Takamaka, 70 metres from Anse Intendance Beach, 28 km from Victoria Clock Tower, as well as 28 km from Seychelles National Botanical Gardens. With garden views, this accommodation features a terrace and a swimming pool. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We chose this chalet as it has an interesting jungle location, very good grades and a suitable price in the Takamaka area. Adam and Merlin (owners of several chalets in the complex) were friendly and open to advice and to help us (we were welcomed with juice and a huge plate of fruit, one day we were booked into a restaurant, we were also helped to get out of the jungle when we went on a trekking trail to Capuchins beach and got lost). On site, there is a swimming pool with clean and warm water which was very nice to swim in with a baby. We were also offered lovely complementary breakfasts for 15 euros (free for children under 12). We stayed at this hotel on Christmas Day, and were given a (free) Christmas dinner and gifts (this is something of a wow - how can this be). We felt like we were visiting our best friends who appreciated us very much. The great atmosphere from the owners and staff is unbeatable. We stay in an average of 50 different hotels a year (both private villas, houses and 4*-5* hotels) and in most hotels the owners or staff treat guests like water, not doing anything out of the hotels bounds, with strained smiles and standard requests (this is normal). We felt like long awaited and valued guests at this hotel. Fully recommended, a magical experience and unbeatable value for money where quality is so much more.

The nearest airport is Seychelles International, 14 km from the guest house, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The place is like something in a travel magazine. It’s beautifully decorated and right by the beach. The outdoor shower was wonderful. You’re able to walk around the yard and see turtles, rabbits and different birds. We will come back here.

Julie's Holiday Home has a shared dining, kitchen and living area on the ground floor. Great location close to some of the best beaches, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, beautiful home. They even gave me a brush to clean my car from the sand before giving it back to the rental service and avoid incurring in fees.

Providing a balcony, each unit is air conditioned and offers a dining area and a seating area with a cable flat-screen TV. There is also an oven, toaster and a kettle. We enjoyed beautiful sunset views over Anse a la Mouche on our private balcony with birds and fruit bats in the forested hillside. This is a family run small business whose staff and owners give quality attention to their guests. The water in the bay was always calm and perfect for swimming even when other areas of Mahe were windy and choppy.
