The host is so warm, welcoming, and kind that he makes the stay even better. Plus, if you want to go camping in the desert by camel he will arrange it all for you easily and affordably. So incredible to leave by camel from the hotel into the desert. A car (we had two wheel drive no problem to get here) is probably essential since town is 12-15 minutes driving. The sunset from the upper patio is beautiful over the date palms. Stay here.

Buffet and continental breakfast options with fruits and juice are available. At the guest house, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner and lunch and serves local cuisine. The hosts were lovely and extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful time, it could not have been better! The garden is beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Additionally, the food in the restaurant was very good and clearly prepared with love and care. For people exploring the south of Tunisia (and birds or other wildlife), the location is great - supermarkets and tank stations nearby in Kebili - while the Sahara, mountains and salt lake are all within an hour drive. I cannot recommend this place enough, and when we return to Tunisia we will for sure visit Dar Barka again!
