The owner, he was very helpfull with everything. He tried his best to speak English and helped with the places to go. Also, I had an early check-out, but made sure I had breakfast. Finally he took a scooter so he could take me to the gate voor a taxi.

For a very low price I've got a room only for myself. They gave me not only towel for free but also shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste and even toothbrush. Owners speak English communicatively and they are very helpful.

Very great location and more than anything great and helpful staff, an always smiling and friendly kitchen chef :) and the owner helped us to arrange tickets to the Youjian Pingyao show (don't miss it!), Breakfast was basic Chinese breakfast but good, and we had dinner in the restaurant every night. We were afraid that we would get back pain from the beds (Kang Style bed means a brick / wood underground and a thin mattress), but unless you have severe back problems, you'll sleep well here.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to experience what it was like in China 400 years ago. The hotel is away from the busy main street but walking distance. The hotel is clean, staff attentive. The bed is very comfortable.

Staff really nice. Cute room and place. In the Ancient City close to the East Gate from were you can enter the walls.

This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

This is a superb old guest house within the city walls, has a traditional and very comfortable room and a very nice courtyard. Everything in the room worked perfectly. Our host was very helpful in all respects and was able to sort out an additional night when our train was cancelled. It is located 10 mins from the north gate and 10 mins from all the ancient city attractions. Highly recommended and great value.
