We spent a night at Katzenburg with kids before going to LEGOLAND and loved it. Unique experience of staying in a real 900 year-old castle (and touring it before leaving), yet with all the typical family-run hotel comforts. Playground for the kids in front of the castle. Private parking with no car-height restriction. Nice breakfast and tasty dinner. Lovely hosts.

A wonderful retreat in the heart of a small town! My stay in this room was exceptionally comfortable and pleasant. Amazing place! Super friendly staff, well equipped kitchen and a spacious and fresh bathroom. The shower is on top! I really liked this place and it was nice to walk around. Would absolutely stay here again!

Claudia, her son and the amenities in the room were superb! When Claudia found out we were traveling by train, she offered to pick us up and drive us to the guesthouse. The room itself is actually an entire apartment/flat complete with kitchen, laundry, living room as well as the bedroom. The only hesitation is that you are sharing the common areas with another guest. This is mitigated by the fact we never saw him and barely heard him at all.

Location of the accomodations was amazing, right down the street from the city center. The room and house was also kept clean and the check in process was also very easy. Host was generous and friendly.
