The location was very good and peaceful. The room was very rustic and simple and in sync with surrounding enviroment/landscape. Stella is a great host. She was very helpful and hospitable with a very good knowledge of nearby trails and paths if you enjoy trekking aswell.

Splendid location, very clean and comfortable. The food was very tasty, original, but they were able to cater for our child, who is a fussy eater . The place is a family run and you can feel welcome by the whole family. They also sell some local goodies and very cool t-shirts and other activities. Due to the bad weather our plan had to change and the owner was happy to offer a solution and help!!! Also they were happy to share a local knowledge of the place and were easy to chat. Highly recommend! if only we knew it would be so nice we would plan a longer stay. The village itself was also wonderful, very quiet, authentic with kind friendly people and amazing scenery. the smiles of the staff, especially the cleaning lady who was always happy to help. The room nicely appointed although small many shelves for storing stuff and several sockets for charging, reading lights an extra plus. Location in the very center of sougia but there was no noise from the surroundings. I especially liked the shady little corner in the patio, perfect for having a coffee or breakfast. The ground floor rooms on the back side looked lovely, with overhanging grape vines shading their patios. Overall lovely.

Oriental Bay is set on the seafront in Palaiochóra, 46 km from Kissamos / Kasteli Port. The property features mountain and city views, and is a few steps from Halikia Beach.

We booked a budget double and, although it was small, it had a balcony and a great bathroom. Very pleased. Breakfast in nearby Votsalo restaurant was included and was fabulous. Welcome glass of juice in Votsalo on arrival made us feel very welcome and valued.
