It was an all-round perfect stay for me. I wanted to relax for a few days and you can do that really well here. But there's also a lot to do in the area. Debora was one of the most attentive hosts I have ever met. I felt very comfortable and I can definitely recommend to go there!

Facing the seafront in Bunaken, Sunset Guest House & Bar has a private beach area and a bar. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

Three Ken was a really nice surprise. It is located at the prime location in Bunaken, first row. The two rooms are next to each other above the restaurant. The family is a super friendly, they get you everything organized. But the best is really the food, prepared by Mama Inge; really well cooked food with veggies, mostly fish - fresh tuna was the best - not this deep fried stuff… In the evenings the locals always played music, some tourists were joining - big fun! Full recommendation from our side (we stayed there 5 nights, extending our stay in Bunaken) had both rooms: one for my wife and me and one for our two kids.

Two lovely adjacent bungalows in front of the beach in the village with a shared porch with a dining table and relax chairs. The host Mamalis made amazing varied food, some of the best we’ve had in Indonesia. Papa Sem has a boat for snorkeling and dolphin tours. The atmosphere is calm, close to the pier and two diving schools. Communication in English is done through Stefen, who runs a nearby homestay. He is very friendly, like Mamalis and Papasem, whom you can talk to in Indonesian and through translation apps.

A wonderful spacious clean room with a very comfortable bed and great ac and Internet. Excellent location - the food provided was more than I could eat and every meal was delicious xxx - I especially enjoyed sitting outside my room on their front patio area with the view of the ocean . The best and kindest homestay i have ever been! This homestay is unique in many forms: the owner Steven contacted me a few days before my arrival to answer all my questions, which was a solo female traveller very helpful. He organised me a taxi and boat from Manado to come to Bunaken and back. Through this i could catch directly my flight. Steven and Misi were always helping me with any situation coming up and I had the feeling I could always ask them anything (i had a difficult situation in the middle). The prices were always transparent and fair. They also helped me to find a very good diving school and helped me planning my snorkeling trips (they have a lot of contacts). Both are very kind, warm and open. They even invited me to celebrate New Years Eve with them and their friends. On my last night we had a small farewell party to which Steven invited some friends over to play music! The room is very clean and comfortable. In the whole house I always had perfect and fast Wifi (didn't expect it on an Island:)). The room had a fan and as an add-on AC. The food is cooked fresh, delicious and a lot. Dietary requests are taken serious (as for me i dont like fish and love Tempeh :)). I also rented a Scooter from them which had a very high quality! I am super happy and grateful I stayed at El Homestay and I am already planning to come back:). I honestly fell in love with this family. If you want to have homestay which feels like home and get to know the village of Bunaken and the culture you should definetely stay at El Homestay!

It was a perfect stay! We stayed there for 4 nights and it was one of the best places we have been. It's a real island experience. You can go diving or snorkeling everyday. Frangky also offers snorkeling and dolphin tours which we did and it was amazing! We had all inclusive which was totally worth it because it tasted wonderful! The rooms are simple but really nice and comfortable. For 3€ more you can get a room with an Aircon if you need, otherwise the fan is also working quite good. Frangky also helped us to organise the trip to Gorontalo from Manado which worked out really good. All the people there are really nice and you feel welcomed from the first second. I can only recommend to stay there!
