It was clean, safe and quiet. There is a kitchen so you can eat your meals at the guesthouse and don’t need to worry about finding food. They offer a shuttle to the nearest station and museum which was a great help as the guesthouse is a bit secluded in a quiet neighborhood. There are hiking trails nearby and would love to visit again and explore more of the area around the guesthouse.

The place feels extremely traditional, and the staff was very welcoming, introducing us to the traditions. If possible EAT DINNER there, it is a unique experience for tourists, and the staff makes sure it is great. The place is extremely clean, and beds are relatively comfortable. If you plan to visit the open air museum there is no better location.

I had an incredible time at Momiji no mori and I would really like to thank the staff and their friends for making it extra wonderful! I was already excited to visit as I loved the antique theme and views from the location. I truly wish I stayed one more day in order to have a more relaxed pace but I still found a moment to enjoy the outdoor bath and Hakone in general has been great. Kintoki shrine is only a few minutes walk away and if you're adventurous, you can go up the 1212m tall mountain from the path behind it. I didn't have a car but the staff was super hospitable and drove me close by on several occasions and there's also a bus stop right outside. I really felt well cared for while being a solo traveller and somewhere less busy, so this made a big difference in my comfort. The room is as cozy and calm as it looks and it is well maintained and clean. The gallery space is really incredible, I could sit in the rocking chair or balcony forever and listen to the music and birds. I can't wait to come back here one day, especially when it is fully autumn!

The staff were very friendly. We ordered some drinks and a yakisoba, the latter of which was homemade and absolutely delicous. Bear in mind that this is a hostel type accomodation, so there wasn't ample room for yourself, but everyone was very mindful of eachother so the facilities were clean and comfortable.

My bf and I really appreciate Yudai, he went above and beyond by helping us out when we got stranded in Gotemba as there are no more bus going around post 5PM. He didn’t have to but one call he didn’t hesitate to pick us up as we don’t even know how to go back to the hotel and it’s already almost midnight. Thank you sir Yudai for the help, you really made sure your guests are safe and okay. Highly recommending this place, we would go back Next year as we weren’t able to fully explore Hakone due the rain.

This is a very beautiful property on both the inside and outside. The accommodations were very clean and very pleasant. The private onsen was wonderful and rejuvenating. My Husband and I had a wonderful stay in this very beautiful town. I would love to come back if I have the chance.

5 minute walk from the beach, Odawara castle, and 7-Eleven. Perfect location! Room was clean, bed was comfy, kitchen and living room were great, and the shower was hot and had great water pressure. Couldn't have been better! The people we met while we stayed here were cool too.
