We had a lovely time at the temple! We had four of the temple experiences and in addition got to ring the dong at sunset which was very special! From the experiences we took the statue tour, the morning prayer, zazen meditation and the monk porridge! The chief monk at the temple gave us great insight into the buddhist practices, and now we have tools to use forward in our own meditations! Ameneties and lodging were good, and we felt very welcome at the site.

Everything, especially futon. I use that type of bed in home so I really liked it. The lady who greeted me was so lovely and friendly.

We stayed here after hiking the Nakahechi route! Beautiful home stay with really lovely owners, thank you for your hospitality! Clean facilities and a common room kitchen space to utilise. Location is out of Kii Katsuura/Nachi. But you can catch bus, walk or hire the bikes from the information centre at the Kii Katsuura station!

the room was really comfy and cozy with basic amenities provided for you. the owner of the guesthouse was really friendly and helpful during the stay. do mind that she has to run a small shop selling Japanese snacks while having other heavy responsibilities. do support her.

The owner of this Hostel Is very helpful. He offered to pick us up at the JR station as we arrived very late at Shingu. He also allowed us to leave the luggage in the hostel so that we can go hiking with the backpack only. For the room, it was very clean and tidy. In short, it was a very pleasant stay and I will recommend this place to the future travelers

I was very fortunate to be able to reserve this room. As the name suggests, it is a converted warehouse, but the space inside is very spacious and comfortable, and up to four people should be able to relax. The owner of the house was very warm, and even made a special trip to pick us up at the station, and provided information including restaurants, attractions, etc., which was very helpful for our trip.

100 metres from Kumano Hayatama Taisha, KUMANO家-OHGi- is a recently renovated property set in Shingu and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking.

Beautiful old-style guesthouse right next to Hayatama Taisha. The location is absolutely amazing. Hayatama Taisha is literally steps away from the front door. There are river views from the room and the tatami floor rooms are beautiful.
