I had a very comfortable stay at this inn, run by a Taiwanese family. The team was very friendly and welcoming, and you can contact them easily around the inn if you need any help. They are also happy to give their recommendations on good food/ activities around the area. I really enjoyed the privacy of the room — though it comes with a common toilet and washing area, the individual rooms are well-partitioned, and gives you the feeling of privacy and personal space. The room is also very cosy and clean, and comes with all I need — a table with cushioned seats, tatami mattress and a personal view of the garden when you open the windows. There are also hotels nearby you can pay for just the use of the onsen, which are well-furnished and inexpensive (~¥1000).

Beautiful house, room and garden. Very friendly owner who gave us an upgrade to the 6 persons room. Is located in a nice part of the town. And short drive of around 40 minutes to Mount Figi.

Jack is a wonderful and extremely friendly host who went out of his way to accomodate us. We had a great time in Isawaonsen and enjoyed trying out all of Jack's helpful tips for Onsen, restaurants and activities. He had great advice and we will definitely return!

I consider this real Japanese experience , it was a bit cold in the evening but they have proper duvets so you will warm up. There is onsen 15 min away by car, amazing view of the valley, and we rented a car a went to mount Fuji and lakes around , as a non driver on the left side of the road this was perfect location, not too busy like Tokyo. The view from the room is very zen.
