What a delight! This was such a surprise. It’s very spacious and has the best water pressure I have ever experienced in my life. I hope that I will stay again for several nights when I return. It’s a great location and wonderful value especially if you can book a weekend. The home was spotless and the owner let us store luggage at his home after checkout so we could explore the island. Can’t recommend this enough. There is a great okonomiyaki restaurant next door and an Italian eatery down the street for dinner. Remember to bring cash because that’s what the owner requires up front for your stay.

Perfect location, convenient for the island and not cramped. Beautiful on the outside , all toiletries provided and bikes available for hire were good ! And a dreamy shower - nice and powerful!

We absolutely loved the one rest private apartment. It was so spacious and had all the facilities we could possibly need. The tatami traditional style bedroom was lovely. The whole place was thoughtfully decorated and felt cosy. The owner was very helpful and kind. I thought honmura was a great location to be in perfect to bike ride or bus to other locations as well as having the beautiful art house projects in the same area. There was heating and cooling, all the amenities we could need. I did not ask about laundry but I’m sure Kisake would have helped with this as well.

    Lovely host who helped us with a car reservation for Teshima and info about which restaurants were actually open the days we were there. The house is right by the bus stop to the main ferry and 5 min walk to the other ferry port. A couple of good spots to eat nearby and the Art Houses. Naoshima is hard to get to and can be a bit frustrating to organise stuff when you are there so every little helps.
