The rooms are excellent and great value compared to other places that I stayed in Aragum bay. The people that run it are lovely too and create such a relaxing atmosphere. The location is perfect as you're right by the beach and close to town but without too much noise. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and everything you could ask for.

What an amazing place. Host is the most welcoming person I've ever met, such an amazing human being! We booked for 5 nights and we extended another 3 because we felt like home. Everyday were preparing breakfast (and everyday is different, delicious and abundant, also with homemade juices). We also had few dinners in and food was stunning! He also arranged a motorbike, safaris and taxi at very reasonable price! We have no words to express how kind and caring they were with us. The place is very handy, close to beach and all the restaurants, clean and well take care of, also very quiet! We highly, highly recommend it! No hesitation! Looking forward to come back to here!

The hotel is situated on a side road so you do not hear the constant noise of cars and restaurants on the main street. Still, it is very close to everything ( a couple of minutes walk to the beach and main street). Our host gave us a lot of recommendations of where to eat and rent surfs, which all turned out to be great. He also took care of our laundry and was very helpful and a delightful person. Definitely very good value for money in Arugam Bay, I would stay here again.

Review: We had a wonderful stay. The staff was always very friendly and polite, and communication before our trip was very easy. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety. We also received great suggestions and help with organizing trips and transfers, which made our holiday even more relaxing.     Amazing place, near the beach. The rooms have AC and are spatious. It’s located on the ´main road’ nearby all restaurants and shops, yet it’s calm and not noisy. The owner is so friendly. He arranged our taxi to the next stop and he and his wife cooked for us, after that we played a card game. We had the best time in Tropicana Homestay. I would also recommend the surfing lessons, we had the best time with our teacher Rizy, who teached us properly and cared about our safety.

    A great Combination of wonderful locals and happy guests. Everyone was in good mood at this good mood place. Brian and Tariq and Santa were great hosts, helping when needed. I was sad to leave the awesome atmosphere! Will come again.
