Family of 4 stayed for one night. Excellent stay for the price we paid. Location and service is really good. It is a very nice and basic hotel that ticks all the boxes. We did 2 safaris, one in the afternoon and one in the morning and our guide, Shanaka Pradeep, was excellent. Very knowledgably and had an incredible eye to find animals. We saw loads of elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, water buffalos and exotic birds. We did also do the elephant orphanage, but I wouldn't rate that too high.

We had a truly unforgettable stay, thanks to the breathtaking Mango Safari Camping and the outstanding dedication of the team. We spent one night at the charming and peaceful campsite and were warmly welcomed. We went to the Elephant Transit Home which was an unforgettable moment in our life where many baby elephants are bottle-fed by humans. The actions and demonstrations done by baby elephants were amazing and somewhat similar to human babies, which was funny to see. We were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan dinner by the bonfire – the food was very delicious. In the morning, we enjoyed a jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park, we could see ample of elephants feeding on grass, deer, water buffalo, and birdlife of the area and the scenery was simply stunning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jungle Edge Cottage Udawalawa. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, and the safari experience was unforgettable. Our guide was knowledgeable, and we were able to see incredible wildlife up close. Fishing was also my favorite activity, and I enjoyed it a lot. The staff were friendly and welcomed us like family, and the homemade food was delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and adventurous getaway!

The host and friends were amazing. Helped with everything, even showed me around the lakes. I saw elephants at sunset at the lake and the birdlife in the morning was amazing. Food was great by the hosts also!
