Villa Hutan Datai is a collection of 4 beautiful villas located in the middle of ancient rainforest with breathtaking views of Malacca straits and Turatao national park, it's very secluded and peaceful with access via a private road with gated entrance. It’s an amazing place where you can fully relax and enjoy the nature around you, inc monkeys, eagles, hornbill’s, squirrels, and lizards. Our Villa had fantastic views of Datai bay which is shared only with the world class 5* Datai hotel. There's a short walk on the private road through the rainforest to the beach and the host of the villas Kenneth and Jenny will drive you there and pick you up on request if you wish. Special mention and thanks must go to Jenny and Kenneth who are the most kind, hospitable and happy people who couldn't do enough for us over six fantastic days we stayed. They would go out of their way to provide anything we wished for inc any food or drink request. As well as the Hotel Datai close by there is also a championship golf course just a few miles away. Everything was amazing, especially the privacy and views . As well as the 4 villas overall, there is a freestanding lounge and dining room villa which all guests can share, and it’s filled with beautiful items and furniture collected by the owner. Breakfast each morning was lovely served on the balcony with a good selection of fruits and cooked foods. There is also an infinity swimming pool with amazing views to die for. One of the best places we have stayed with great service, we would love to go back!

The property is a hidden gem - amidst a scenic piece of paradise (as the name suggests) - on a hilltop, overlooking the blue ocean. The property itself is very tastefully done - architecture as well as the interiors, with multiple elevations. The room is super large and the bathrooms have a splendid view! The infinity pool overlooking the sea is a treat. Kenneth was very warm and went over and beyond his duty to take care of us. We needed a break and this was more than we imagined - definitely coming back soon with more friends and family!

What a place! We had a late flight from KL and decided to book this guest house just for one night because of its convenient location, only 5 mins away from the airport by Grab. But… this place turned out to be a little paradise with such a cozy home vibe… We didn’t actually want to leave it in the morning. 🥹 Our room was fresh and clean. The bed and the pillows were comfy, and we also loved the bed linen! It wasn’t humid in the room, so we had a really good sleep. And thank you so much for two bottles of water and the candies, they were so yummy! 🤤 I also loved those inspiring quotations on the wall!… And now the main thing about the room… it’s the view over the rice fields and the mountains. 💔 And there’s one more detail! You don’t even need to go anywhere. Just stay in bed with open curtains and watch a fascinating moonrise at night and a picturesque sunrise in the morning when you may also see so many birds of Langkawi and domestic animals just in front of you enjoying their morning routine. The balcony terrace with a bench was also really convenient to watch that spectacular show. But what made this place even more special for us was the hosting family! Incredible people, so welcoming, always smiling and ready to help you! They also prepared a local breakfast and coffee for us, which was both so nice of them and a good opportunity for us to try traditional food. And this all was on an open dining terrace under the roof with such a nice view!… Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the swimming pool and we hope to do it next time! The proprietors, Didi and Nanthi, are wonderful hosts. From the moment I arrived I felt like I had come home. I've been travelling for 3 months and Ocean Lodge is the best place I've stayed. if you are the type of traveller who would rather not stay in a big hotel, make your way to the Ocean Lodge. The rooms are super cozy, the bed is so comfortable, not too hard and not too soft, the location is quiet. You hear birds chirping in the morning rather than road traffic noise. Breakfast is prepared to the customer's taste; eggs, omelets, toast and Swiss style meusli. Hammocks in the garden for relaxation. Didi also rents scooters for transportation. I have no hesitation to recommend Didi and Nanthi's Ocean Lodge; when/if I return to Langkawi there's no other place I want to stay. Friends for life!!!

Just beside the Guesthouse there is a really delicious restaurant. The owners can help you with renting the scooter. Super close to the airport. The owner is super super kind and helpful! We really enjoyed the stay

I love everything! Mama Yati and Papa were so kind and helpful. I dont know from where I should start, after the arrival at Jetty, mama Yati picked up us and she shared so many life experience about herself and also the cottage. The room was suitable for 4pax, we felt comfortable. The breakfast arrangement was great. I love the concept of having breakfast near the paddy field/garden area. Most importantly is that, I feel like its a HOME.

The bungalow was very comfortable and lovely... great view into the garden where many buffalos were grazing. Azlina is a very lovely and helpful host who does her best to make us feel very comfortable during our stay. I highly recommend this homestay!
