Homestays in Phetchaburi

For 5 days I felt I was part of a warm Thai family. My stay in this family Guesthouse, run by Rod, Nora and June together, was the highlight of 6 weeks travelling in Thailand. The first night the family took me and some other guests to a great festival near an important temple. Another day Nora and Rod took me out for lunch to eat the best Pad Thai. One morning Nora called me into the kitchen and taught me how to  cook Pad Krapao Moo. Other guests even liked my product! Every morning they serve you a different breakfast with local specialties. Apart from that you get a lot of information about Phetchaburi and its specialties (which are many). They offer a free pickup from and drop off at train or van station. Really great service! I also enjoyed using the free bicycle for exploring the countryside. The location of the Guesthouse is central and quiet, close to the river with a good view from the terrace. If you want to have the real, warm, authentic Thai experience, you must come to A+ Hometel and stay with Rod, Nora and June!

The young lady at reception was very welcoming and friendly and helpful. We instantly liked her. The communal area is very nice with tables and chairs for the included breakfast as well as an upstairs area with laid back seats for relaxing. The room was comfortable and clean and they cleaned it after the first night and gave us bottles of water. Fridge was very welcome and air con was so good as it was 36 degrees! The nice young lady put on a great breakfast including toast, cereal, juice, coconut custard wrapped in banana leaves and little buns. Overall would definitely go again and highly recommend.

The atmosphere and the closeness of the staff are simply wonderful. The location is nice because with a pleasant walk along the river you arrive to the center and the main temples. Super and full of value!

Very welcoming. Our host waited for us outside of opening hours. It was so kind. Very good location.
