Elysee is just off the beaten track a short walk up a little hill from the hubbub of town central. The road is fairly steep but manageable and while parking is limited, you'll find a safe space for overnight parking. While we didn't stay in an actual cave room, the rooms have thick stone walls so you get the vibe. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and have enough ambient light from outside. Our bathroom was a nice size with a great big shower and the water was as hot or cold as you liked it. We opted for no daily cleaning, but other guests were pleased with their service. The best part of Elysee is the upper decks, where you enjoy a very, very satisfying breakfast every morning. The pictures are accurate. While the standard (glorious; veggie-friendly; hot and cold) daily spread (8:30am start) remains the same, the egg styles, pastries, cakes, and preserves change it up. Tea & Coffee is available at any time too, with a hot pot of strong tea brewed at 5pm to enjoy with your spectacular sunset. The honesty bar allows you to also enjoy a glass of local wine, fizzy drink, or an ice-cold beer (please take note of your consumption during your stay and bring enough cash for this added service.) Overall I'd wholeheartedly recommend Elysee as a mid-budget hotel for your stay in Cappadocia.

Very welcoming and friendly hosts, they helped a lot with booking for us all the experiences we wanted to try and also got very good prices for them, the room was very clean and cleaning services during the vacation were great, breakfast always fresh and more than enough, excellent location of the guesthouse. Walnut House totally exceeded my expectations! After a long, freezing 14-hour bus ride from Istanbul, I finally arrived in Cappadocia, safe and sound. The host was incredibly welcoming and let us check in early with no hassle, which was a lifesaver after such a tiring journey. The moment we settled into our room, all the tiredness from the trip melted away. The place is tucked away between a spa and a restaurant, just a short walk from the bus station, shopping spots, and plenty of dining options. It doesn't really look like a typical hotel from the outside—it feels more like staying in a cozy, warm home. One of the highlights was the hot air balloon ride. The owner kindly helped us book a sunrise flight with Brothers Hot Air Balloon at a great price, and it was an amazing experience! Floating above the stunning Cappadocia landscape was like a dream come true. I really wished I could’ve stayed longer to enjoy more of their wonderful hospitality. The staff was so friendly and helpful—they made us feel right at home. If I ever visit Cappadocia again (and I definitely hope I do!), Walnut House will be my go-to spot. Beautiful facility in a quiet village with an incredible panorama. Both the owner and Eljan were incredibly kind and helpful, making me feel at home. Even though the village is in a somewhat remote area, they were adept at organising all my transfers, and I never had any problems. Fantastic experience, thank you!
