We spent 25 days traveling across Vietnam with just our backpacks, staying in many lovely places along the way. But this place… this was the true highlight of our journey. An unforgettable encounter with an exceptional host, in a peaceful haven beyond time — a little piece of paradise suspended between sky and earth. The rooms were stunning, thoughtfully designed with elegance and harmony. The semi-outdoor shower gave us an incredible sense of freedom, every morning a moment of pure connection with nature. Every breakfast, every meal, every snack was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The cozy fire corner, with cats sleeping gently at our feet… it felt as though all of Vietnam had been distilled into this one magical place. I don’t have the words to fully express how deeply this place touched me. It has left a mark on my soul — a memory that will never fade

Good and comfortable for a quick overnight stay en route to Sa Pa. Please note that the property is not on Google Maps and the coordinates given on Booking.com to copy are incorrect. Look up “Chợ Đá Quý Yên Bái” on Google Maps and that is where the guest house is.

Simply everything was great! The stay with Phoung, the owner, and his family was the best part during my entire scooter ride trip through Vietnam. Phoung and his lovely wife took so well care of me, they treat their guests literally like family. I initially wanted to stay only one night as a stop over coming from Sapa, heading to Hanoi. However I liked it so much instantly, that I decided to stay 2 nights. The freshly cooked breakfast and dinner, eaten together with the family, was the best meals I have had in Vietnam. Phoung brought me on a boat trip on Thac Ba Lake, which was amazing. In the evening he brought me and one other guest from India to play volleyball and dance together with his wife and her friends in the village. Such a great local experience you can really indulge in the local culture ! You shouldnt miss that! Besides, that remote part of Yen Bai is so tranquille and peaceful.

The hostess was hospitable, she met me and gave me tea, despite the fact that I arrived very late. She is very nice and Friendly. and it is obvious that she loves her home very much. The house is cozy and nice. In the shower, in addition to hot water, there is a heater - this helped me to warm up quickly after a night trip. The house is located outside the city, so at night you will not hear anything except the croaking of frogs. And in the morning you can enjoy the peace and nature around. A great place to relax. I will be happy to come here again.

we absolutely loved staying with Dai and his family. we stayed in a bungalow and were treated to an amazing meal with the family and other guests followed by entertainment from a local dance group. Lots of rice wine was encouraged and a little karaoke to top the night off. Dai took us on a boat ride to watch the sunset over Thac Ba Lake - stunning!

I stayed in a private bungalow that was large, modern with hardwood floors and a big clean modern bathroom. Balcony right on the lake so the view was amazing. The staff were helpful and the whole place was mellow, relaxing and friendly and they had created an atmosphere where the guests talked and enjoyed each others company. Sunset boat tours of the lake are offered by the owner. The meals were excellent, easily as good as restaurant quality and plenty of it. Fresh fish from the lake, a selection of grilled meat, plenty of vegetables form their own farm including brocolli, carrots potatoes, corn etc etc etc. Google Maps shows the location away form the lake but the water level was good and it is lakefront.

Vu Linh Homestay is situated in Vũ Linh and offers an indoor pool, free bikes and a bar. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

Even though it's a little of the beaten track, Vu Linh homestay was pleasurable experience. Nam, who speaks good English, and his family made us feel welcome. Meals were excellent and there was plenty of happy water every night. Our upgraded accommodation with con, comply bed and hot water made sleeping enjoyable. Motor bike hire was on site as well.

This is a great stop if you would like to break up your travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang. The facilities are clean, very important to me, and the location is a perfect halfway between cities. Family members are well versed in a few languages making communication very easy. Please take part in the family dinner offered. Incredible nice Family with a lake that invites for a sunset swim. Basic beds and a true Vietnam experience. I definitely suggest taking part in the family dinner. It was delicious and they are very grateful when it comes to serving ricevine. I actually came by twice and I would come again. Great spot to take a break between Hanoi and Ha Giang.
