Good and comfortable for a quick overnight stay en route to Sa Pa. Please note that the property is not on Google Maps and the coordinates given on Booking.com to copy are incorrect. Look up “Chợ Đá Quý Yên Bái” on Google Maps and that is where the guest house is.

It is difficult to match this level of *feeling welcome* - I have felt 100% at home with Phuong and his wife + son. The *food* is INCREDIBLE. Easily the best I've had in Vietnam; it was fresh, exciting and very tasty. Slept like a baby in a *very comfortable bed*. The room is spacious too. And above all, *the communication* with Phuong is in near native-level English, which made gaining insights (and there were many :)) a breeze. I am very grateful for this experience, and have felt like a VIP for a couple of days. Usually I am wary of close-to-10-star ratings on Booking, but if 11 was an option, I would've ticked it.

Very nice place, the rooms are clean. and the owner is super friendly. There's a waterfall nearby, where you can go for a swim.

Honestly staying here was the best spontaneous choice I made. I was greeted nicely after a long journey by Nam who speaks very good English. The dormitory is great, simple traditional homestay with a bed and mosquito net, plus phone charger and fan! In the evening he invited me for food with his family and he catered for me being vegetarian :) we ate well, and we drank A LOT (optional) of traditional rice whiskey which was a great time. Overall a great place made my trip to ha giang worth it. I didn't explore the nature but it looks amazing

Host and her parents are the kindest people I have ever homestayed with. Beautiful location, and you can swim in the lake. Excellent dinner. Room and bed are comfy enough. I stayed a second night because I had such a good time
