Overall a great value for money. The owners were also very friendly and helped us with information for the weather and hiking trail.

The Villa is run by two wonderful grandparents, Paraskevi and Kastriot, the true image of Albanian hospitality and kindness. We left with our hearts full of love, as if we had been staying at our own grandparents’ home. The room was incredibly clean, modern, and carefully decorated, you could even smell the freshness as soon as you opened the door. Breakfast was 5-star quality, generous and delicious. We had such a nice conversation in the evening, and they even invited us to share a homemade cake (the best ever!). If there were a 20/10 rating, we would gladly give it to this experience. Featuring a terrace and views of mountain, Guest House Emily is a recently renovated guest house located in Gjirokastër, 44 km from Zaravina lake. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. Everything!!! This was the best place we stayed in all of Albania for several reasons. The guesthouse itself is small and cozy. The location is unbeatable: less than 10 minutes walk to the bazaar and other sights, and very quiet. The restaurant across the street is almost an extension of the guesthouse and the staff there are welcoming and the food is good. The room itself was very small but that’s okay because we only slept there- most time was spent around Gjirokaster or on the terrace. The room and property is immaculately clean, and has one of the best showers I’ve ever had. The real highlights were the terrace and the hosts. That terrace with the view, shade, breeze, and smell of flowers is my happy place. Perfect for reading, relaxing, or having a drink outside. Mimosa and Pandeli are the most gracious, generous, kind, fun, hosts!!! We had so much fun using Google translation and pantomiming to have conversations. Mimosa was kind enough to bring us fresh fruit and salad on the hottest of days. Truly amazing people. Hope to see them again soon!!

With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and slippers, units at the guest house also have free WiFi, while selected rooms also offer a balcony. The units are equipped with heating facilities. I won’t lie, it was hard to find using google maps or anything similar, but Luigi was a great guy, we came to pick us up from a easy acces area to guide us to the property even though it was a little late after check in hour. Luigi such a great guy!

Very nice view from the room balcony and still better view from the rooftop terrace. Excellent breakfast and service. Very helpful and pleasant hosts. Guesthouse is in quiet environment and at the same time it is 15 minutes on foot to Old Bazar and Citadel.

What a place to stay, me and my partner stayed here for a night while travelling around Albania, we were greeted by the lady who ran the place, she was so friendly and such a amazing host and really tried to make us have the best stay possible even tho she speaks little English. The room was so lovely and I have to say I don’t think you can get a better spot with only 5 min walk into the Center, but far enough out to get a peaceful night sleep. The breakfast was so yummy and by far the best one we have had. Would recommend to anyone who is travelling around and couples any day of the week

The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Without a doubt the best experience we had in Albania. Like getting a super sweet albanian family for a couple of days. The room is very nice and the view is beathtaking. Would recpmmend this to anyone. (sidenote: the mother in the house could open a fancy restaurant with her amazing cooking skills. 10/10)

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a special atmosphere on the terrace, overlooking the picturesque landscape of Gjirokastër. We were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and genuine smiles that instantly made us feel at home. To our delight, Behdzet's mother graciously prepared spinach burek for us, a delicious traditional dish, for dinner. It was a heartwarming gesture that added a personal touch to our experience and left a lasting impression. The apartment itself was nothing short of spectacular. Every detail exuded elegance and charm, with modern amenities seamlessly integrated into the stylish decor. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, adorned with soft, luxurious bedding that ensured a restful night's sleep. Without a doubt, Guest House AmaDes is a place I yearn to revisit. The combination of unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking views, and exquisite accommodations creates an oasis of tranquility that beckons me back time and time again.
