We have been travelling for 2 years and hardly ever do we give 10/10 as there’s always something that could be better. Not here!! Secure parking - always very important for our motorbikes. Room - cannot fault it. Our own little home from home. Every detail has been thought about as if the room has been lived in by the owners, not just turned into a guest house. The bed was super comfortable and large, comfy armchairs, good working desk, fabulous wardrobe and storage including hangers!! There was also a patio where we could sit outside. Loads and loads of power sockets all round the room and in convenient places. We had no trouble charging anything at all. Bathroom was beautiful and the shower fantastic. All toiletries provided and super thick towels. Breakfast was amazing. Cooked to order and hot! Lumba is a lovely person and fabulous host. She couldn’t do enough for us and looked after us extremely well. We felt like a part of the family. We extended our stay and stayed for five nights in the end. Such a wonderful place.

Hosts Cindy and Orato were amazing, went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and put us in touch with reasonably priced tour operators. Accommodation was comfortable and had everything necessary for self-catering. Lovely patio to relax on and beautiful gardens. Safe parking.

Doté d'un barbecue commun et d'une petite piscine, l'Elephant Trail Guesthouse est situé à Kasane. Vous pourrez profiter d'un bar sur place et d'une cuisine commune. Personnel très acceuillant et serviable. Super organisation de safaris, a bon prix.

I enjoyed my stay. The guesthouse is in between Kasane and Kazungula, but it was easy to grab a taxi for 8 pula to get into town. There are taxis constantly going back and forth between the two towns. The location was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were gracious and kind.

It felt just like being at home….Gloria and her wonderful staff went out of their way to make my stay very relaxing and enjoyable! Gloria was the perfect tour guide and made arrangements for me to go to Victoria Falls, Sunset River Cruise, Chobe National Park, Villages Tour and more! She also recommended restaurants in the area, and provided transportation herself. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shalakwe Hills!!
