She literally welcomed us with open arms and was so kind to us from the very first message when we had booked our stay months prior. We feel like we made a new friend! She went out of her way to explain and answer our questions regarding restaurant reservations and activities in the area. She verified times for us for the little train that goes around Bellinzona, which is an adorable little train ride and she gave us tips about the local markets and was so attentive to our every need. She offered us lovely goods from the bakery for breakfast and the vanilla croissant was so delicious and the bread she provided every day for us was some of the best bread we've ever had! And the view from our "Blue Balance" room was absolutely stunning! It had a floor to ceiling window with a gorgeous balcony and we could see the mountains and the town and the castles and there aren't enough woods in the world to say how fabulous the view was and we were able to see from the comfort of our room fireworks on New Year's Eve. The view from the shared kitchen was lovely and we were able to heat some basic things on the stove. There was no microwave but it wasn't necessary for us. She is such a lovely person and gave extra pillows in the room at our request because we were recovering from an injury. She gave us beautiful gifts when we left and offered us fantastic Prosecco when we arrived. All in all it was an extraordinary exceptional stay and we highly recommend it. She is a truly kind warm and welcoming person.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property, and we can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, making check-in a breeze. The property itself is stunning, immaculately maintained and beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of modern amenities and cozy charm. The Casa Oliver is spacious, comfortable, and has everything you need. Location-wise, it's ideal, conveniently close to local attractions, yet tucked away in a peaceful and serene environment. We especially appreciated the serene outdoor spaces, which provided a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, were the hosts Lorenzo and Patrizia. Not only did they provide us with a cozy, well-appointed space to rest after our days on the mountain, but they also went above and beyond by lending us their own skiing gear! This thoughtful gesture saved us the hassle of renting equipment, and it made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Lorenzo and Patrizia’s hospitality was incredible, they were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a seamless skiing adventure. On top of that, Lorenzo and Pratizia have two lovely little dogs that added an extra layer of charm to our stay. But the cherry on top was at the end of our trip when Lorenzo and Patrizia invited us to join them at the Grono carnival. It was such a fantastic experience, with free food, music, and a lively atmosphere. It was the perfect way to end our trip, and we were so grateful for the invitation. Overall, we highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and relaxing stay. We can’t wait to return!

Osteria Locanda Brack, a property with a garden and a bar, is situated in Gudo, 13 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, 18 km from Golfclub Patriziale Ascona, as well as 30 km from Lugano Station. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Mendrisio Station is 48 km from the guest house. Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming. Dinner was delicious, everything was homemade and homegrown or very local (rocket from the garden, fish from the lake, wine from the neighbouring vineyard). Marco’s mixed pasta was exceptional. We had a super evening, nicely finished in front of the fire with grappa and music on the juke box. Super breakfast too… loved the walnut bread and so many delicious delicacies. We will definitely be returning, this is a very special place and worth a detour.

Suitable accommodation for budget traveling, fridge in the bedroom, fan for some air flow, common bathroom was clean and nicely renovated, private parking. The host didn't speak English but I didn't have any problem to understand the directions about the check-in / out procedure

The pallet oven was very comfortable. Good base to explore hikes all around. Host is very friendly and easy going.
