Starlight Mountain Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Sigchos, where guests can make the most of its water sports facilities and fitness centre. We stayed in the Azul room and it was an incredible view looking over the valley. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, and the location was unbeatable. We stayed the night before starting the Quilotoa trail and it was right beside the trailhead.

This is an amazing place to stay in Chugchilan. You will feel so welcomed by the family who owns the hostel - they are so kind and gracious and make you feel so comfortable and at home. The vegetarian meals were huge and delicious and there was banana bread available all day as well as coffee and tea. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was here. The cat Theresa is so friendly and the sweetest little boy lives here!!

The staff is always so kind, this was my second time staying here and they really make the experience great. The included dinner is amazing, and the set up is great to meet new people. There are plenty of blankets for the chilly weather.

There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Close to the busstation and close to the hikingtrail. The owner and the staff are really friendly. The breakfast was the best i had on my total travel! The dinner/ lunch they offer is good aswell. Nice to have hot tea all the time. Its a bit cold there (cause of the high altitude), but they have warm blankets and an oven in the room.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Javier and his family were so accommodating. I needed to use a computer at a cyber cafe, and Javier offered to let me use his laptop for the morning because he wasn’t using it. Really great service.

We stayed at this hostel before and after hiking to the summit of Cotopaxi :) the owner is really helpful to organize such a trip, he has all the equipment and the experience is really good price. We enjoyed our stay!
