It was clean and beautiful, I could not have selected a better place to stay in Villafranca del Bierzo! The host was very friendly and attentive, I almost ruined my walk on the Camino that day because these lousy delivery people didn’t bring my luggage on time. But Dani? I believe that’s his name… he called the delivery service and made sure my things arrived asap. So kind of him, I would have had so much trouble without him. Bless him and his lovely hostel 🥰

Built in 15th century, the property is within just 500 metres of Avila County Council and 600 metres of Convent of Saint Teresa. The property is situated 1.7 km from Lienzo Norte Conference Centre. The hotel is located inside the imposing Avila Walls so that makes the experience special. It is less than 200m from one of the main gates next to which is the entrance to one of the three sections of the walls that are open to the public. It is also no more than 500m from the top attractions in Avila and about 1.6km from the Cuatro Postes Lookout for a panoramic view of the Avila Walls in their entirety. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, gelaterias and shops well within walking distance from the hotel. The room itself was very comfortable and the bathroom sink is huge which makes doing simply laundry a lot easier. There was also complimentary muffins and coffee for breakfast and that was appreciated.

Featuring a bar, shared lounge and views of mountain, Casa Crescente is located in Boca de Huérgano, 50 km from Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery. The accommodation provides free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. The staff were very pleasant. The Albergue was extremely good value for money. I had a single room and both bathrooms were very close. I never had a problem waiting for a free bathroom. The breakfasts were really good... Spanish style but that's what I wanted. The evening meal was great value for money. Boca de Huérgano is a super location for exploring the Picos. Riaño is only about 8 or 10km away and there are beautiful hikes around there. There's also a public swimming pool in Riaño.

Most enjoyable Stay on the Camino.so far I was fortunate to have a second floor room with a balcony .. The hostess kindly provided a table so that we could enjoy a romantic meal of locally produced food and wine overlooking the square in the warmth of the spring sun.. The room was large ,decorated beautifully the bed comfortable, and hostess charming and very helpful. Couldn't ask for more. Magnificent. and a must stay at Carron de los Condes. Alan

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, full-day security and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Extra facilities include a concierge service, meeting rooms, a tour desk and housekeeping service. The warmest of welcomes from an exceptional family business with the guest front, back and centre. Loved everything about this place. The food was outstanding. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Don’t miss!

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Hostal Doña Juana is situated in Avila, less than 1 km from Avila City Hall and a 14-minute walk from Avila County Council. Featuring a shared lounge, the 1-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is set 700 metres from Avila's Bus Station. I stayed in this hostal for two weeks, and it was the best place I’ve stayed at in Ávila so far. The staff were extremely friendly and patient, also with the fact that my Spanish is far from perfect. One of the staff even used their phone translator to talk with me about my day ! Room cleaning was done everyday, and if you chose to not have it for one day it would definitely be done the next day, so that everything stayed clean, including fresh towels and sheets everyday. I also got free drinking water everyday and even the little tray with tiny candies was refilled. The room had a spacious bed that was very comfortable, a wardrobe, a desk and even a tv. The bathroom had a sink, a toilet and a big shower with two different shower heads, and nice warm water. The location was perfect, almost literally in El Grande (Plaza de Santa Teresa) with the walls, all kinds of shops and little stores nearby and enough places to eat. Despite being near El Grande I wasn’t bothered by noise at all during the night. The hostal had a nice quiet atmosphere, but very open and friendly. The floors themselves were also cleaned everyday and everything smelled nice. I am incredibly satisfied with my stay and would 100% recommend this hostal!
