A good location for a relaxing holiday in Rantepao, Mama Tia Family Homestay is a homestay surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a garden, shared lounge and parking on-site among other facilities. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The homestay features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Yacob, Yansen, Mama Tia and the rest of the family were amazing in their hospitality. Their homestay is simple and rustic but is also very homely. The rooms are very clean with a nice inside communal area as well as a very nice verandah where you can sit and appreciate the view of the neighbouring fields and ponds. If you are used to and looking for luxury comfort, then this is probably not the place for you, but if you appreciate simplicity and character then it is. Yacob and Yansen also provide guiding services which I would highly recommend They will tailor the tour to what the guests want to see. I would highly recommend visiting the funeral ceremonies with Yacob/Yansen. They provide a lot of good local insights. Also, staying at Mama Tia's was great because the communal areas encourage mingling with the other guests. While I we there, I met 3 French couples, a French and a German girl. I travelled with a few of these people north to the Bunaken Islands and Gorontalo. Thanks to Mama Tia's that I made such good friends.

Facing the seafront in Bunaken, Sunset Guest House & Bar has a private beach area and a bar. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features sea views, a terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. this homestay was really really nice. the food 3x a day (7-9am, 12.30pm, 7.30pm) is soooo good. best food i had in indonesia, and different meals each time. Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

Located in Rantepao, Sulawesi Castle features accommodation with seating area. This 2-star guest house offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. We had an exceptional stay at Sulawesi Castle and the host truly made the experience unforgettable. From start to finish, everything was perfect, and we enjoyed our stay more than any other. The host was incredibly authentic and warm, and we appreciated the time spent with her—especially the lovely day out and market visit. The view from our room is something I’ll never forget; it was truly breathtaking. We also went on a few tours, and while we didn’t quite connect with the tour guide, we learned a lot about Toraja unique culture,we were grateful that the host upgraded our room, which we appreciated a lot. The area is a must-visit, and although the car we traveled in could use some work, the driver was fantastic. I highly recommend reaching out to the host for any information about the area—she’s extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. It’s clear that she loves sharing her local insights, and you can feel the care she puts into making each guest’s experience special. We felt at home. Thank you

At the homestay, each unit is fitted with a desk. Units have a kettle, a private bathroom and free WiFi, while some rooms also boast a terrace and some have river views. At the homestay, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. We had an amazing stay at this homestay in Indonesia! The place was impeccably clean and of great standard, and the simple breakfast provided each morning was perfect to start the day. Lea, the owner, went above and beyond to make our experience special, inviting us to her nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a welcome drink and some of the most delicious food, including local dishes she thoughtfully prepared non-spicy for us while keeping the authentic flavors intact. It's a wonderful family-run business—Lea’s mom also took us on two fantastic tours of the national park, showing us all the incredible wildlife with so much care and patience. Lea’s dedication to ensuring her guests have the best possible experience is truly inspiring, and we highly recommend staying here!
