First of all, Monica was super welcoming and even if I only speak few italian she used an ipad to translate our conversation in real time, super easy! I felt like at home from the first moment. The house is very clean, with a nice terrace and garden, and the room and the bathroom were super clean and tidy, with nice decoration and lots of amenities and details like coffee, water, snacks, etc. Each morning, the room is cleaned like an hotel service, which I was surprised, thank you! What is also great and was essential for my stay is that they let you get a bicycle during the stay without an extra cost. This was super helpful to explore the area, which is very adapted to bicycle mobility. Every time I saw Monica and her husband they were super nice and warm with me. For sure I’ll repeat this place if I visit the area again. Grazie mille!!!

Public boats to the old city of Venice, Santa Lucia train station and to the islands depart regularly from the station just outside the hotel. Antica Dogana can be reached in 1 hour by boat from Marco Polo Airport. Very pleasant hosts ( like movie star couple :D ), and staff. I got the family vibe from them. The location is great, just beside the boat station so that you can easily get to the island of Venice or any other island in the Lagoon. One night we walked to the town center, and there was some kind of festival, with a street bazaar. Overall, a great experience. Great breakfast on the terrace beside the lagoon. I haven't had time to try dinner there, but as I saw passing by it looked very nice. The room is very comfortable with a beautiful view. The bathroom is very beautiful and spacious. If I ever come again to the Venice region, I will book this place again.
