Lonely beach is close by which you can either walk to or rent a Kayak/Bike to get there. There are the cutest dogs there as well which is a big bonus.

Friend of Nature Bungalow is a recently renovated guest house in Koh Rong Island, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a water park. The accommodation features a business centre, room service and currency exchange for guests. Located in a magical place (mangrove forest), among locals. The bungalow is simple, which in my opinion is the best way to enjoy the environment surrounding it. The bed was confortable and had a mosquito net. The fan was all I needed to keep the room fresh at night. The shower had a good flow. The hammock on the balcony, with a view on the mangrove, was exceptional! Volunteering is possible there - teaching English to kids, planting mangrove plants, etc. Lonely beach, a stunning place, is close enough to access on foot (I did it a few times). Good restaurants also close by. Above all, Johney, the owner is funny, extremely helpful and kind, he drove me around several times 🥹 I wish I could’ve stay there longer. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic place to stay in Koh Rong, go there!

The place is a bit difficult to find, once found, it's easy to just stay there. The host Johnny is also very helpful with arranging scooters or anything else.

Rooms include a patio with garden views. These bungalows exceeded my wildest expectations. This is exactly the quiet oasis I was looking for. Located on a peaceful part of the island with rustic bungalows that have an unbelievable amount of care and detail to them. From the extra towels to the refillable water, coffee/tea, mini fridge, mosquito net and even citronella sticks. John (the owner) is extremely sweet and even offers snorkeling gear. I wasn't expecting too much from the reef here cause I was here during rainy season but was very pleasantly surprised. Most importantly there are two hammock pavilions with an amazing view! Could not possibly ask for anything else!

At the homestay, every unit has bed linen and towels. Such a great experience! Sam’s place is inviting and cozy, very clean and nicely organized. You basically have your own little living room while here which is such an additional value. You have coffee and tea whenever you need it, and she offers drinking water as well so you can minimize the plastic pollution on the island. You get two strong fans so we had no trouble sleeping at all. She truly makes you feel like home ❤️

Boasting garden views, Macondo Mpai bay features accommodation with terrace, around 200 metres from M’Pai Bay Beach. It is situated less than 1 km from M’Pai Bay Wild Beach and offers luggage storage space. The rooms are fitted with a patio with views of the quiet street. 12/10 would stay here again! My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights and it truly felt like our home away from home. The location was perfect; a two minute walk to the beach and is near bars/restaurants. The staff/owners are the kindest people and put in a lot of care to ensure that their guests are comfortable. Our biggest regret about the whole trip was that we never ordered Mela's famous dumplings! We know better for next time though. Cannot recommend enough!

I went to Cambodia to dive but due to the weather it was difficult to the islands and Asma planned a whole other trip for me and it was great!
