We are really well at Suriya Guest :) we had the breakfast and dinner twice which was delicious. The host was super welcoming and kind. The rooms were spacious and had heating, which was important because we were there when it was only 17 degrees Celcius.

The room was so comfortable and cosy for us to enjoy the space, Sanjaya and his family were so welcoming and made us feel right at home, the home cooked meals were great and made it very convenient for us, We did the tour with Sanjaya around to visit the waterfalls, tea factory and the city centre, I highly recommend this It was a great stay and couldn’t recommend this more for anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya

As a solo female traveler, staying here I felt so safe and at home. The owner and his wife are so utterly sweet and hardworking. The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

L’établissement Rustique House dbl se situe à Nuwara Eliya, dans ce quartier : Lake Gregory. Nous n’avions pas vraiment d’attentes particulières et nous avons été littéralement conquis ! Certes la météo n'était pas au rendez vous mais nous avons pu profiter de ce cocoon cosy et chaleureux pour nous reposer. Shan a été particulièrement attentionné dès notre arrivée en nous proposant un thé pour nous réchauffer tout en nous conseillant sur les différents endroits à voir aux alentours. Il met d’ailleurs à disposition une liste de recommandations par thème (adresses de resto, visites, etc) ce qui est très utile. Nous avons continué à échanger avec Shan après notre départ pour profiter de ses conseils notamment pour les différents trajets que nous avions à utiliser. De plus, son anglais est parfait ! L’emplacement n’est pas trop éloigné du centre, il est possible d’y aller a pied. N’hésitez pas à rester 2 nuits pour profiter de cet endroit et des paysages incroyables ! Le petit déjeuner local est juste parfait, tant en saveurs qu’en quantité.

Beautiful, comfortable, and clean accommodation, we felt almost like at home. The kind owner helped with everything, arranging a great driver who showed us all the interesting spots in the area. A short walk from the accommodation is a stunning waterfall and a nice Hindu temple. A secret tip for great food – Gami Gedara Restaurant!

They kindly took us on a day trip to visit some tea plantations and waterfalls.
