Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Krish, dont le guest house est idéalement situé à deux pas de la magnifique plage de Kalkudah. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Petits déjeuners et dîners sont absolument délicieux et permettent de découvrir la gastronomie sri lankaise. Krish a pris le temps de nous aider dans nos recherches d’une famille qui tenait une guest house a Kalkudah dans les années 1970/80 et avait accueilli ma maman a plusieurs reprises. Un immense merci!!!

The owner and the workers are really nice and helpful and the hotel is located few minutes walking from Kalkudah beach. You can also easily reach Passikudah beach by foot. I highly recommend staying here!

I like that the room and the bathroom were big and very clean, the garden was beautiful. The location of the hotel was perfect for me as it is exactly between the beautiful beach of Passikudah and the city of Valachchenai. Also, the owner family is very nice and helpful, you feel at home right away. I recommend this home stay.

Exactement le genre de lieu que nous adorons découvrir dans nos voyages - seulement 4 chambres, dans un jardin joliment arborisé, et surtout des hôtes absolument adorables - Nous avons mangé sri lankais les deux jours : au petit déjeuner et le soir : une pure merveille ! Jamais mangé aussi bien au Sri Lanka. Les propriétaires nous ont également loué leur voiture avec un chauffeur pour les 5 jours qui suivent .

This place is twice as nice as the Ubay Homestay I stayed at in Trincomalee for which I paid much more - $30 per night. What's better about it, besides the lower price, is: More spacious, more modern room Fewer bugs (really hardly any) Larger, less smelly bathroom Much quieter setting. Instead of being in the middle of a bunch of other places, including a loud hostel next door, as Ubay was, this place is in a wide open, peaceful setting, the only close neighbor a church. Better breakfast at the same price - 1300 Free, filtered water A larger staff, very attentive, but unobtrusive, only there when you need them The two beaches nearby are quieter and less crowded Much thanks to Usha, the owner's wife, who speaks excellent English. She welcomed me graciously with fresh coconut water and gave me another one when I left.

The family was so beautiful, the room was very big and comfortable beds, great location with a short stroll to the beach, the family made us a lovely curry dinner one night which i highly recommend. TIP: the sunrise hotel which is just down the road let's you swim in the amazing big pool for the day if you rent a sun bed off them. It was 2000 rupiah per person and we also had lunch there.

My criteria for accommodation are simple: it should be affordable, offer a clean room and bathroom, and provide good food, as I don't spend much time in the room. Coastal Villa, Kallady, Batticaloa, exceeded my expectations in every regard. Firstly, my host, Anurahavan, his mother and father were wonderful. He contacted me via text after I made the reservation and kindly offered to pick me up from the railway station. Upon my arrival, he greeted me with tea and cookies, engaging in a friendly chat to learn more about me and understand my needs for the stay and my travel plans. Although I had originally booked the room for just one day, Rahavan spoke with the next guest who had reserved the room and arranged for me to stay a few extra hours. He also provided helpful advice on the best places to visit during my limited time in the area, as well as recommended restaurants for a good meal. Rahavan even arranged a tuk-tuk to take me to Passikudha, Batticaloa early the next morning, packed a delicious breakfast, and ensured I had everything I needed for my travelling. His father and mother were fantastic and a awesome family became a good friends, and they managed to show me several notable sites in the area printed on the Menu Cards, including Batticaloa Fort, Lighthouse despite my short stay. Rahavan seemed to know many people in the town and was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. I highly recommend Coastal Villa is a suitable and valuable for all what I have spent are for its worthiness. I thank to Anurahavan and his parents for cooking me a delicious food during my stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and had good energy. The house too. I liked it more than some of the guesthouses nearby.
