We picked the right place and knew we would be taken care of. The location is great, our balcony was a treat and the rooftop plunge pool offered amazing views. It’s in a gated community with a security guard at the entrance 24/7 so if you’re concerned about feeling secure this is an excellent place. The beach is minutes away and it is gorgeous. White sand and turquoise water and plenty of local seafood very close by. It’s also close to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. The room itself is compact but comfortable. The king bed helped a lot and the AC was nice and cold.

TV has Netflix on it you don’t even have to put in your own account details. Wifi was fantastic. The large jar of water was a lovely addition especially when we had a long travel day. it has AC and a fan. The shower was lovely and warm. The balcony was great to sit out and we had our breakfast there every morning. The kitchen facilities were great and I can see why people end up staying here longer. Bacalar is a great stop and this accommodation made our stay super comfortable. We found it lovely and quite during our stay. Its beside shops, laundry, food market and only a short walk to main square. it’s also a short distance to ADO station, we didn’t need a taxi which was great.

Located less than 1 km from Playa Holbox, EncantaLuna offers air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. To reiterate what I had read in some reviews for this place, this guesthouse is a hidden gem! My friend and I loved our room. It had everything we needed. It was also very clean. The shower had warm water, which is not always a given. The outdoor space has chairs and hammocks in the shade to hang out. EncantaLuna is away from the noisy center, and is still a short walk to reach "downtown" and the main beach. For the price you pay, EncantaLuna is a no-brainer. The owners, Erika and Luca, were really wonderful, easily reachable, communicative, and always willing to help and give recommendations. They have a wiener dog, Marvin, who is also adorable. :) Would definitely stay there again!

They even drove us to the bus terminal. The house is at the edge of town, but with bicycles available everything is within reach.

Great location, lots of food choices and a quick taxi ride to downtown.

The guest house features a rooftop pool with a fence, along with public bath and free WiFi. Quiet spot tucked away a few blocks from the center of town and the beach! Very clean, and Irais was a wonderful and very responsive host. She booked tours and a shuttle back to the airport at a discount for us and also recommended some great restaurants. When it rains the roads get muddy to walk around, but there is a foot wash station right at the entrance to clean your muddy/sandy feet upon return. The rooftop pool is a perfect option to escape the heat. Breakfast fruit and pastries included was a great bonus too.
