Nice rooftop terrasse to watch sunset/sunrise. Jebel Shams is just 1h 10 mins from here so can easily be done as a day trip. Owner was very kind and showed us the entire property. Around the house you can find some really cute goats.

He also gave us plenty of helpful tips and recommendations about things to see and do in the region and across Oman. If you’re looking for a genuine experience in a charming and peaceful setting, we strongly recommend staying at Ahmed’s guest house. It was a highlight of our trip

Located in the village of Misfat Al- Abriyeen in the state of Al-Hamra, Al Misfah Hospitality Inn is about 200 kilometers away from Muscat.

Its a restored ancient house overlooking the green palm groves and situated at the top of the house the famous Rogan Castle built more than 1500 years ago. Excellent tour of the museum, really made the village come to life. Excellent breakfast and free coffee throughout the day. Beautiful view from everywhere.

We loved this place! It smelt so clean and was so clean the moment we stepped foot inside. There js a communal kitchen, but we also had a fridge in our room. There was a beautiful place in the back to sit and relax. Hamed arranged a tour for us to Jabal Shams and it was so convenant and fantastic and well priced. Honestly this place exceeded my expectations.
