At the homestay, units have bed linen and towels. We really liked this place and enjoyed our stay here. The host is incredibly friendly and loves to offer tea and dates. From him we learned a lot about turtles, rain in oman etc. ;-) The terrace does not only provide shade, it is also a nice place to meet other guests and relax in the afternoon. About the surroundings: The turtle reserve in Ras al Jinz is about a 20 mins drive away, so not too far if you want to go there for the morning or evening-excursion. The beach in Ras al Hadd itself is really quiet. From here you can go snorkeling and on a boat tour to see some dolphins or turtles in the water, if you're lucky ;-) the trip can be booked at the guest house

Guests at the guest house can enjoy a continental breakfast. Wow, we loved our stay with Amur and his family at the Desert Heart Camp. We didn't have a 4x4, so he met us and drove us first to his village for some coffee and dates, and then we had so much fun going dune bashing. Amur arranged for us a camel ride for the sunset and it was lovely. We were the last two staying at the camp before he closed for the season but you wouldn't have known it as we were treated so well. His children are precious. We made traditional bread over the fire and dinner was absolutely delicious! The open-fire grilled camel meat was tasty! We waddled to bed full and drifted off to sleep to the wind blowing through the tent. Breakfast was great and my husband enjoyed his second coffee walking around the dunes. We then left the desert oasis to continue on our journey, taking with us some wonderful memories of our time with this sweet family. Thank you Amur!

We liked everything. It is far way better even than a 5 star hotel! We booked the bubble room and in first night we were alone at the property like we owned the place. Although we could stay in any of other rooms inside hotels which were also perfect super new rooms with 5 star views but we prefered to stay in the bubble for our very first time.Super clean, decent breakfast (only this needs attention) but you have a kitchen, bbq and very close (by car) a supermarket and you will feel like home eventually. And last but not least Mister Majed, the external partner which makes activities in Wahiba Sands and also the guy who helps to have a smooth check in before you arrive, is an outstanding person who fulfil every inquiry and makes our stay even better. So if you havent booked anything for safari or other activities in the area, Mr. Majed will take care for you for very reasonable prices.

Featuring a shared lounge, Byblos Villa Resort is located in Al Ḩadd, within 1.5 km of Al Hadd Beach and 1.3 km of Al Hadd Fort. So we were unsure whether to book this or not because of the reviews here, but took the risk! The property was absolute AMAZING, the location was perfect, but the staff were unbelievable! I mentioned it’s one of our friends birthdays and he went out to FILL the villa with balloons, decorations, birthday cake, candy, and lots of other fun things for when we arrived! We all arrived at awkward timings but he made sure to meet us super early to check in. He arranged a chef to cook us a bbq, constantly made sure we were well looked after, the villa is amazing, clean, comfortable, awesome cinema room, the pool and jacuzzi were amazing, and there’s a steam room! Huge villa but still very homely feeling, 100% recommend and we will definitely be back soon! Again thank you so much to the staff for making sure we were well looked after and going above and beyond at every stage! You were awesome !
