There was no hot water, but luckily in this warm climate we didn't need it. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and kind, but unfortunately he didn't speak English. However, we managed with google translator. He connected us with good tour agency for a full day jungle tour. Good value for money.

The owners and the staff are super nice and friendly, they even let me store my luggage when I was going to the jungle for few days. The area is nice, close to the main plaza, there are restaurants and supermarkets around. As a solo female traveler, I felt perfectly safe in the area.

The staff were very patient with our limited Spanish and were friendly. They allowed us to use the pool after checking out which we appreciated in the heat of Iquitos. The room was large and very comfortable with great AC and a comfy bed. The pool area is very nice, extremely clean and very relaxing. The pool is around 10m long and large enough for cooling off. It is very similar to the photos and is as nice as it looks! The longe area around the pool is also very nice and never busy. We would highly recommend Iguana Haus for anyone looking for a peaceful stay!
