The hotel staff was extremely helpful and hospitable. The room was clean and there was daily cleaning in the room. The breakfast and all the food and sweets were exceptional. The ingredients and products were excellent. The coffee was unique.

Enjoying a privileged location in the historic center of Lisbon, the property is a former palace whose construction dates back to the 16th century. This boutique hotel combines modern comfort with a classic atmosphere. An incredibly generous hotel. We arrived and were offered wine, cheese and bread (help ourselves from the cellar), natas and cherry brandy at reception. The staff were kind, thoughtful, funny, intelligent. Breakfast was out of this world and the hotel is glorious in its decoration and furnishings.

Bica FLH Suites is located in the historical centre of Lisbon, within the famed Bica neighbourhood. The building which was an art gallery since the fifties, was refurbished in the beginning of 2017.

The comfortable rooms feature a rainfall shower, free toiletries, hair dryer, air conditioning, desk and a flat-screen TV. Free WiFi is available and the cosy terrace outside is ideal for warm evenings. Some of the rooms offer a view overlooking the garden. The staff were the highlight of Bica FLH. In addition to their warm welcome and general helpfulness and charm, they gave outstanding recommendations for dinner spots and even made reservations. They allowed us to leave extra baggage in their storage area while we were on our bike ride. The breakfast was nice and additionally, teas, coffee, and snacks are available 24hrs a day. The rooms were comfortable. Some rooms are louder than others due to street noise (mostly late night people) but earplugs are provided.

Anjo Azul is a renovated 18th century property, featuring a modern décor and a charming façade covered with Portuguese tiles. Located in a tranquil street at the heart of historic Lisbon, it is just 300 metres from Camões Square, in Chiado. Rossio is a 5-minute walk, while the lively bars of Bairro Alto are at a short walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff is amazing, Miguel went over and beyond to accomodate us. He told us what to visit, made routes for us, recommended restaurants and pleasantly surprised us with a lovely message on our last day left in the room. Cleaning was on spot, each day the room was cleaned and arranged as we just checked in. Definetely recommend!

Tesouro da Baixa offers air-conditioned double rooms, twin rooms and suites, all fitted with a flat-screen TV, a minibar and a coffee machine. For guests’ convenience, each room includes a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Breakfast was very good, it exceeded our expectations. In fact, there were some treats left for everyone to try all day at the restaurant area. Location was very good. But what was exceptional were the staff, from the front desk (Ricardo, Walid, Cristina & Ricardo) to the breakfast service, etc.! It made us feel like it was our home, away from home. We were also surprised about the cleanliness of the place.

Location location location right in the heart of the gorgeous historic district of Lisbon you literally walk out the door and you are on the main promenade busting with cafes and shops that lead you down to the main square by the sea and all points of anywhere you want to go. We took a walking tour on day 1 which I highly recommend as a great way to get orientated and a feel for where you are. We walked everywhere from the hotel day and night. We also easily found the trams which we took to Belem and the train station which we took the train for a day trip to Sintra. We found cute cafes, restaurants (there are several plant based vegan restaurants plus most will cater for vegetarians and vegans alike), shops and just watched Lisbon go by at times. There are many squares of different sizes each with their own unique story and statues. The hotel was very accommodating with information and the rooftop breakfast was an absolute delight. There is a lift however we took the stairs up and down never used the lift as we want to keep fit even when traveling. Every morning we went upstairs from the 4th to 6th floor to the rooftop deck where other travellers were also gathering before heading out for the day. One thing to note is the hotel does not have 24 hour staff however the building is very secure and your card lets you in after the last staff leaves which is around 11pm. After our long days out exploring we were always back while staff still at front desk The rooftop scene is such a surprise for first time visitors, we loved it and the breakfast was thoughtful and catered to individual needs. Indeed, the morning we departed Lisbon for an early train to Lagos, the hotel staff had left a thoughtful takeaway bag of breakfast on our door. We eat a plant based diet and they created delicious breakfasts for us every morning and in the bag we found plant based yogurts, apples and other goodies, such a lovely lovely surprise for a day of travel. A delightful spot to stay.
