GermanyFor me, one of the most beautiful Hostels in Costa Rica! Beautiful common area, spacious rooms, bathrooms inside the rooms, they made our beds and gave complimentary towels. Amazing smoothies at the restaurant!! The guy from the restaurant lend me his umbrella, which I much appreciate!!

SwitzerlandNestled at the end of the town San Francisco, Chinitas lodge is a fantastic place to stay if you like local, quiet environment with animals at your doorstep. We were able to see over 5 Toucans just by walking through the local town, and plenty of other birds, frogs and mammals.
It is a taxi boat to tortuguero itself (10 minutes) but the local feel and lovely hostsin Chinitas lodge made it worth the stay. You can also book all tours from the reception of the lodge, as they have a great link with the main tour guides in tortuguero.

Great location on the side of the football pitch, 2 minutes from the beach and 2 minutes from the dock. Welcoming and friendly, kids loved relaxing in the hammock and the hostel run canoe trip

This is a hostel and we had private room with ensuite. It's basic, as expected. You can use a well equipped kitchen, great if you are on a budget. It's right in Tortuguero close to many restaurants and mini market. There's a garden to relax in and a veranda with hammock. Very quiet at night. You can book tours which were great, we did canals in canoe, day walk and night walk (highlight). You can do self guided walk too either in the park or just along a path from the village to the airstrip.

Lovely relaxing hostel with comfortable room and hot showers. Communal spaces ad gardens also very nice. Staff were excellent and organised a tour for us. Great location, steps away from the beach.

If you want to feel at home in a beautiful place like Tortuguero, then Doña Marina will make sure you do. I stayed for 7 nights and I could've stayed for more.
Doña Marina will help you with any of your questions and will book any tour for quickly and safely. She's an overall great person.
The place itself is a great hostel to stay in and relax after a day of exploring the amazing place Tortuguero is.

Staff were really helpful, helped us navigate the local boats and even let us borrow boots. The setting is lovely with a very relaxed feel with great views from the platform. Great location just away from the main village and felt very safe.
