Hostels in Lyon

Staff were excellent and courteous. The privacy curtains were very good. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with a spread of baguette, brioche and drinks including coffee, tea and juices. Toilet was very clean. Has a coworking space and fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven too, though I did not use those.

Very good hostel, close to the city center. For those arriving in Lyon with luggage, I recommend getting off at the Croix-Paquet or Croix-Rouse metro stations to avoid the hill climb. For those coming from the airport and not having a problem traveling more than 30 minutes, do not use the direct tram to Lyon. Its price is too high - 17 euros. In any case, it stops at the central train station, which is 3 km from the hotel, and from there you will need a new public transport ticket. It is much more profitable to take bus 200 from the airport, which will take you to the Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie metro station. The price for the bus and the tram is 2.30 euros in total, as long as it fits your trip within an hour. There is another option with bus 47, then change to tram 3 and if you want to get to Hotel Pilo, you can choose between another transfer this time to the metro or a 40 minute walk through which you will see most of the sights of Lyon. Overall, Hotel Pilo is extremely clean. The beds are comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly. The hotel also offers free luggage storage, including lockers that are locked and are also free.

Lovely bright, airy space with a chilled vibe. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful with recommendations. The 4 person room was very spacious with private bathroom - shower was great. The hostel is in a great location in this beautiful, relaxed city. Highly recommend.

Approximately 4 minutea Walk to Metro Station Saxe Gambetta. In the neighbourhood with a lot of shops and restaurants. Clean bathroom and toilets. I recommend it to anyone.

Friendly staff, 24 hours reception, cozy cafe with fresh croissants, nice comfortable rooms with clean beddings.

This was one of the best hostel experiences I've had. The bed was super comfy, and the curtains gave great privacy. The view was incredible. The staff were super helpful, and the location was fantastic. I would 100% stay here again
