Open house hostel is a really really simple hostel, but they will offer you everything they have!! Everyone is super friendly, you can always ask for stuff (I got a second planket) or just ask for advice for a City Trip. Its an amazing and almost familiar Atmosphare. In the Kitchen, you have everything you need for cooking, also tea and coffee :) Location is perfect, close to the ocean as well. Would sleep there again! Merci beaucoup ;)

The couple who run the hostel (Adrien & Solene, along with Thomas) made it feel homely & welcoming. They also spoke English which was useful as I don't have much French. The maximum number of guests was 20, with 2 dorms (mixed x8, female-only x8, private room x2 people). I was able to socialise with other guests & had a couple of day trips with some. My mixed dorm had a lot of room, including a sofa and table, a modern bathroom/toilet, an insect screen to allow open windows on hot nights, lockable storage, with padlock supplied, solid wooden framed bunks with curtains for added privacy, along with headlights & a powerpoint. There was another shared toilet. Breakfast was included, and sometimes we had homemade cake. The lounge/dining room had a microwave & fridge for simple food preparation & storage. There was a balcony for 2-3 people to sit, or for smokers. In the front of the hostel, was an enclosed courtyard with tables & seating.

The Meyerbeer Hostel is located only 50 metres from the beach and the famous Promenade des Anglais. The main square as well as the main train station are reachable with a 10-minute walk.
