I loved the Indian breakfasts. When Diljit (the Manager) makes chickpea curry. That was SO GOOD! That was the best chickpea curry I have ever eaten! I also liked the hostel because it has a very clean spacious nice well equpped kitchen on the top floor - the roof floor. So I could go buy fish to the nearby very pittoresque fishmen village called Vizhinjam in the early morning and then I cooked it myself. That was top! I also made myself pancakes! It is so nice to have a nice kitchen. And a fridge. And a cast iron pan! They also have a washing machine, so I could wash my clothes. That was a plus. The female dorm room is not big, but it has a little balcony so it remains airy. The bathroom was super clean. Also bed sheets were clean and nice smelling. The location could not be better as it is 1 min walk to the Kovalam Beach, the main beach. So you can walk there bare feet. The hostel also has a big roof top veranda - a covered space, green - has a shade from nearby tall trees, from there you can see the sea and enjoy the breeze. Birds, crows will come to see if you have some food for them. They are like hostel pets! They almost eat from your hand! It is like a Bird Zoo!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
