My stay was great! The room has its own fridge, water dispenser (hot and cold), foldable table, mugs, coffee, tea, lockers (for your valuables), towels, trash bins, hair dryer and heater.. Kenji was real helpful and everything was kept orderly and clean :) he has a washing machine (u have to pay 200 yen for the washer and 100 for the dryer, there were soap pods available to use). Hot and cold showers were working fine too! I did not expect to have the room all to myself, the 3 bunks were unoccupied 🥹 the location was just a few min walk from Uji River, so there were harmless insects but nothing to worry about. Its walking distance from everything Uji Matcha as well 💚 i enjoyed my stay here so much :)

The people of the hostel were super nice and there is a subway on walking distance, there is also a 7/11 around the corner plus a supermarket. The beds were good aswell. It also has it's own kitchen wich was a plus if you wanted to cook yourself.. if you can read Japanese there are also a lot of manga to read. Especially my favorites GTO and rurouni Kenshin.

Absolutely fantastic staff. A big thank you to you. Great location, right by the train station. Great facilities, especially the shower. Free tea. Comfortable rooms. Had a great stay, would book again. Great wifi.

This property was stunningly beautiful, a wonderful old Japanese tea house. We were absolutely delighted. Not for those looking for a luxurious modern hotel, but absolutely perfect for us. Very close to everywhere we wanted to go, right next to Nara park, but not far from the station. Takashi, our host, was charming and spoke perfect English. He recommended where to go and returned to the house to show us how to turn the heating on when it got cold. We had a wonderful stay and we already miss it!

Amazing location, 6 min walk from the train station , 5 min from center and all the things to see. My bed was comfortable, the room was big, lockers in the room, hairdryer, good air condition. I liked the common area, large with table and couch, small outside area to sit, kitchen that has everything for cooking. Wifi worked very good, shops, restaurants near by and easy access to everything. The staff was friendly, spoke English and it was easy to find the place.

It was very nice. We arrived late and the host was very nice. He leaves a letter with a printed paper with all the explanations in your prefered language (English for us) I found that is very cute.
